Our Charlie Brown tree has arrived, which means that Christmas is near! That also means that most massage therapy benefits will be expiring by December 31. We encourage all of you to use those benefits you work so hard to pay for! Most of our schedules will be a little bit tighter over the holiday season, so if you can’t find any availability, please join our waitlist and we’ll try and get you in. Enjoy the snow and the winter!

We choose today to remember their stories, their bravery, and their enduring legacy. Lest we forget.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to work as a Sports First Responder at the Kamloops Rugby Sevens tournament 🏉 Big thanks to BC Rugby for inviting me out, and to the incredible team of athletic therapists I had the privilege of working alongside 🙌

It was a busy weekend—we managed everything from concussions to broken bones, and even cervical and spinal emergencies. Both Saturday and Sunday kept us on our toes, but I’m truly grateful for the chance to be part of such an important role in athlete safety. Hopefully, I’ll get to be involved again next year!

As I mentioned in my recent post about becoming a Sports First Responder, this training is what allows me to step into opportunities like this. At Impact, every one of us holds our Sports First Responder certification ✅, which means our whole team is equipped to provide athletes with a higher level of care and support on and off the field. 💪

Had a great weekend recertifying as a Sports First Responder ⛑️ with fellow RMT’s.
3 full days of practicing emergency training in cardiac arrest, spinal/spine board, splinting, wounds and many other scenarios.
This is my 3rd time doing this course and it’s always been a lot of information to digest but it really prepares me for sideline situations for athletes and teams I work with in my community.
Had a tough time getting to the course due to the forest fires 🔥 so was rerouted but eventually got to my destination. Got to see the aftermath coming home.
