Looking back to one of my very first sauna builds, back when I was working out of a small garage. A lot has changed since then. My methods, my shop, and my approach have all evolved to meet the high standards I hold today.

It’s humbling to see how far things have come, and I’m proud that every project since has pushed me to refine the craft even more. From those early days to now, the goal has always been the same: to create beautiful, lasting saunas that people truly love.

Two of my favourite features from this build are the way we wrapped the cedar perfectly around the stone base to set the HUUM wood stove, and the custom log rack built right into the deck for convenient wood storage. Both pushed us to get creative, and the result is functional and beautiful.

For this build, we added a Wi-Fi–controlled HUUM electric heater for easy heat-up, integrated bluetooth speakers, and a walkout deck with a rainfall shower to cool off between sessions.

It’s the kind of setup that turns a sauna into your own private retreat.
