Welcome home faRmily! Quick PSA ... Make sure you grab some Pocket Ashtrays by www.BrainGarden.ca ASAP before we run out! Available by donation at Muscle Beach from The Shambhala Green River Collective camp, or from the Shambassador Info Booth, and also for sale Shambhala Music Festival merch!

Cigarette butts are literally toxic waste ... The filters are made of plastic micro fibres, they do not biodegrade, and once smoked become full of toxic chemicals and heavy metals (which then poisons fish / wildlife when mistaken for food, and pollutes water / soil when it rains. Not to mention starting countless wildfires! It also takes a ridiculous amount of time to clean them all up post fest. (Huge thank you's to the SGRC team and green team vollies!)

So, if you smoke, please use ... A reusable, flexible, airtight odourless pouch made of recycled materials that extinguishes smokables. Simply open up your Pocket Ashtray, drop in your still burning butt, and snap shut. The airtight seal suffocates the butt and keeps the odour contained!

WOW, that is a BUTT load of butts! We just sent in our 103'rd batch of butts for recycling, and this time it weighed in at a colossal 236 lbs, generating $236 via our BUCKS for BUTTS by BrainGarden & KPRS campaign. This funds our current initiative, The To***co Waste L.E.W.P. initiative (Litter Education & Wildfire Prevention) providing such things as free to smokers and our No Tossed Butts signs all over the Regional District of North Okanagan (see pic below and let us know if you have a good spot for one)

This was one of our biggest hauls yet, thanks so much to everyone contributing! Our campaign is totally FREE for anyone in Canada and if you would like to participate or set up a Butt Barrel / something like this in your community, just reach out or comment below!
