Mother Wisdom Speaks

"I am the maiden of joy.
I am song in the wind and rain upon the rocks.
I am fair love and holy hope and the flight of the dove.
I am earth, betrothed. I am mystical rose.

I am the mother of mystery.
I hold opposites together.
I birth children and sever the cord with my teeth.
Those I love I send away to their lives.
I am the cauldron of fire and the cup of milk.
I am the two edged knife.

"I am the old woman: I am the queen.
If you seek me you will find me everywhere.
I am the womb of wise blood.
I am the world's crown. I am diamond. I am pearl.
I shine with the wisdom of God.

"I am the circle of being.
I am glory — splendor of infinite life.
I am the spiral, the fullness of being, fully becoming, forever, world without end."
~
Some of you I will hollow out.

I will make you a cave.

I will carve you so deep the stars will shine in your darkness.

You will be a bowl.

You will be the cup in the rock collecting rain...

I will do this because the world needs the hollowness of you.

I will do this for the space that you will be.

I will do this because you must be large.

A passage.

People will find their way through you.

A bowl.

People will eat from you

and their hunger will not weaken them to death.

A cup to catch the sacred rain....

Light will flow in your hollowing.

You will be filled with light.

Your bones will shine.

The round open center of you will be radiant.

I will call you Brilliant One.

I will call you Daughter Who is Wide.

I will call you transformed.

This ideas of every relations ship as a mirro continues to challenge me in the best of ways!

The path to maturity for humanity is to begin to see everything around us as a mirror--reflecting back to us what wants to be re-cognized, accepted and loved back into wholeness.

Peace on earth will only come when there is peace within🙏🏼🕊️🤍

Just some reflection and food for thought on the current Aries North Node and Libra South Node transit ~

Does healing and positive change come from the manipulation of the material world - and its structures and institutions and people OR does it come from each human changing and healing on the inside?

Ghandi said: "Be the change you want to see in the world" and Carl Jung stated: “Everything that irritates us about others leads to an understanding of ourselves.”

Does this resonate?

Many spiritual traditions and even psychology believe the world is a mirror reflection of the collective mind, the good, bad and the ugly.

Astrology shows this in the Aries/Libra axis or polarity of self and other. In fact, the symbol for the ruler of Libra, VENUS, looks like a mirror! Coincidence?

Is everything we see and experience a projection of mind onto reality OR a projection of our psycho-emotional dynamics onto others? Many in the field of Spirituality and Psychology would say YES.

If this is the case, our relationships are rich sources of information about our beliefs and inner dynamics. We can learn so much about ourselves (Aries) by observing what is happening and showing up in our lives from the outside (Libra). So, we have to be careful NOT to shoot the messenger, BUT to step back and be curious - observe the world around you and how its unfolding, and get to know yourself and your inner parts more deeply. That is the GIFT of relationship.

We can't ever really force change on anyone or anything - its futile and a waste of energy. People change on their own timing. BUT you do have control over yourself and the way you view and respond to life. You have agency over your own inner dynamics, inner healing and evolution.

What if instead of fighting, resisting, controlling, fearing and fleeing the world and whatever is showing up in your life, you learn radical inner peace and acceptance of what is? What if you settled the war, the fragmentation, the fears, the feelings of separation and the tsunami of chaos and bad memories within? How do you think the outside would show up then?

This is NOT to say we shouldn't hold people accountable, have high standards, leave abusive or dysfunctional, stress laden situations or participate in social change. BUT we can't really do those things effectively and without being a little hypocritical if we are just skipping over ourselves - which could actually be the most important factor in the equation and the thing we have MOST control over.

I believe that when we concentrate our focus on our relationship to ourselves and what is going in inside (and really take responsibility for it), our relationships with others have a much better chance of prospering and things can show up for us in a healthier way. We can also respond to life in a way that is actually good for us!

Some important and relevant things to ponder and chew on with the current nodal axis position...

Be Blessed!

"The most beautiful word on the lips of mankind is the word 'Mother,' and the most beautiful call is the call of 'My mother.!' It is a word full of hope and love, a sweet and kind word coming from the depths of the heart. The mother is everything - she is our consolation in sorrow, our hope in misery, and our strength in weakness.
She is the source of love, mercy, sympathy, and forgiveness."

So often the places within us that do not feel loved are young.

As we welcome those younger parts of ourselves to be known they will naturally share their wounds and insecurities with us.

Then we can love them as an accepting, kind and loving parent and welcome them home💗

LIGHT WILL SOME DAY SPLIT YOU OPEN

Light will someday
split you open
Even if your life
is now a cage.

Little by little,
You will turn into stars.
Little by little,
You will turn into
The whole sweet,
amorous Universe.

Love will surely
burst you wide open
Into an unfettered,
booming new galaxy.

You will become so free
In a wonderful, secret
And pure Love That flows
From a conscious,
One-pointed,
Infinite Light.

Even then, my dear,
The Beloved will have fulfilled
Just a fraction, Just a fraction!
Of a promise [She]He wrote
upon your heart.

For a divine seed,
the crown of destiny,
Is hidden and sown
on an ancient, fertile plain
You hold the title to.

O look again within yourself,
For I know you were once
the elegant host
To all the marvels in creation.

When your soul begins
To ever bloom and laugh
And spin in Eternal Ecstasy

O little by little,
You will turn into God.”

god is a mother
and with that
sentence
the world stops
the world always stops
when woman and
divine
commingle
as if the
feminine
dilutes the
miraculous
when in reality
it embodies it
when jesus turns water
to wine
they clap
but when women turn breasts
to milk
they cringe
a broken man’s body
is celebrated each sunday
while a broken woman’s body
is just hidden away
and it’s no wonder
that mother is a word
used by men
to demonize those
who don’t claim the name
and weaponized to shame
those who step out of line
because
their ideal
woman
plays the role of nurturer
and silencer
in pews
built and led by them
but
when god
becomes mother
she is neither quiet
or compliant
she leads confidently
she questions authority
she commands respect
which might be the problem
for mother god
did not gather us up
carelessly
but took her time with it
she fed us milk
birthed our souls
and broke her body
and the permanence
can be uncomfortable
and to disentangle god
from motherhood
is impossible
but
to disentangle god
from womanhood
is sinful
because seeing god as mother
is one step closer
to seeing god in me
and it’s in that
i am truly
born again

And the Great Mother said:

Come and give me all that you are.
I am not afraid of your strength and darkness,
of your fear and pain.

Give me your tears.
They will be my rushing rivers and roaring oceans.

Give me your rage.
It will erupt into my molten volcanoes and rolling thunder.

Give me your tired spirit.
I will lay it to rest in my soft meadows.

Give me your hopes and dreams.
I will plant a field of sunflowers and arch rainbows in the sky.

You are not too much for me.

My arms and heart welcome your true fullness.
There is room in my world for all of you,
all that you are.

I will cradle you in the boughs of my ancient redwoods
and the valleys of my gentle rolling hills.
My soft winds will sing you lullabies
and soothe your burdened heart.

Release your deep pain.
You are not alone and you have never been alone.

I love this♥️🌹

Maybe your mother was the perfect mother

Maybe she carried you

bled for you

sang to you

smiled at you

nurtured you and marveled in you

Maybe she understood your essence

and was patient and let you unfold

in your own time and in your own way

honoring the heart of you all the while

Maybe your mother cared for you

Maybe she was there for you

long past childhood days

Maybe your mother worked for you

cooked for you, sewed for you

Maybe your mother listened to you

Maybe she held space for you

Maybe your mother laughed with you

played with you

stayed with you through all your years

Maybe your mother protected you

But

Maybe she neglected you

rejected you

Maybe she abandoned you

hard-handed you

betrayed you

flayed you

Maybe your mother couldn’t mother

Maybe your mother forgot you

Maybe your mother lost interest

Maybe she grew cold

Maybe she never really loved you

Maybe you were just her duty

for a little while

Maybe your mother did the best she could

with what she had

Maybe she was sick or sad

Maybe her mother was bitter or bad

and hurt her in her deepest parts

Now

Maybe you are a mother

Maybe you are a perfect mother

Maybe you pour abundant love into

your daughters, your sons

Maybe you delight in them

Maybe you struggle

Maybe you feel exhausted

resentful

lost and unseen

Maybe you feel nothing

Maybe you are just surviving

Maybe you are not a mother

but long to be a mother

Maybe you mother others

Maybe you don’t want to be a mother;

will never be a mother

Yet

We all need a mother

Yes, we do

And maybe there is a perfect mother

just for you

She is the mother of your mother

and your mother’s mother

and back as far as the eye can see

or mind can know

or soul can feel

to the first mother

Lie on the grass and feel Her heart

You were formed of Her earth

You come from Her waters

Her winds kiss your cheek eternally

Her rains cry with you when you cry

and wash your wounds

She will heal you

nourish you

wait for you

She will give you beauty

She will give you joy

She will give you new life

again and again

She will always be there

to enfold you in Her embrace

when at last you return —

Maybe you have the perfect mother . . .

Our Story

Jodi Krahn is a mind-body focused psychotherapist, clinical counsellor, transformational women’s coach and a restorative inquiry yoga teacher, specializing in women’s personal growth, psycho-spiritual development and transformation.

Jodi has been on her own journey of healing and recovery from a significant eating disorder and childhood trauma (you can read the full story here: http://www.jodikrahn.com/about-me/jodis-bio/ ) As she entered midlife she decided that to do the deep work of recovering the lost and abandoned aspects of herself. These aspects included her inner child that need to be heard and seen, her inner adolescent that needed acceptance and love and shadow parts of herself that need to be reconciled and brought into the light of consciousness. She also began to practice yoga, intuitive dance and qigong to embody all of her restoration--to finally feel at home in her own skin.

Her journey continues as life holds many changes and challenges and her passion is to guide other women and those identifying as female on their unique journey to healing and wholeness, guiding them to find and live from their deepest truth, to become their most authentic selves--to return to their own wild beauty.

"When a woman steps into the truth of her own life to reclaim all of the lost pieces and parts of herself, she returns to her own unique and wild beauty. She can then show up fully embodied for her wild and extraordinary life"--Jodi Krahn
