Think sunscreen’s only for sunny days? Think again ☁️☀️
Here’s the truth: no sunscreen blocks 100% of UV rays.
SPF 15 blocks about 93%, SPF 30 blocks 97%, and SPF 50? Just a tiny bit more at 98%. That’s why SPF 30+ is the sweet spot for daily wear.
And yes — you still need SPF when it’s cloudy or if you don’t burn easily.
Why? Because UVA rays (the ones that cause aging, pigmentation, and skin cancer) are sneaky. They go deep into your skin and aren’t stopped by clouds.
Up to 80% of UV rays still reach your skin on overcast days, so daily SPF is non-negotiable.
