The Invictus Games blew me away and I left with my cup and heart full. 🖤💛
The commeraderie and respect(and hugging)between competing Nations teams was inspiring and heart warming.
The support and love the competitors received from their family,friends 🧡 and the volunteers was priceless. 🖤💛
I will cherish the memories and ❤️ connections I've made with the athletes, the med team and other volunteers. According to volunteers that have been to many sport events, this was very unique , it was raw, unfiltered and it had heart ❤️ ALOT of it.
I will be forever grateful to have had this opportunity. 🙏
Some highlights;
meeting(and hugging) many of the Denmark 🇩🇰 team, acting as a first responder and only handing out a band-aid, seeing USA S. win his swim heat, meeting Rick Hansen, watching the Gold wheelchair rugby game, seeing Prince Harry (from a distance), the PADS puppies and connections made with other medical professionals from all over the world.
Also, Kirk took me for dinner after my last shift and we explored Vancouver a bit. 💜
