Stress doesn’t always feel like stress.
It doesn’t always show up as obvious overwhelm or anxiety — sometimes it’s easy to miss, and something the body carries quietly.
It can look like:
🥀feeling constantly tired, even after rest
🌵irritability or feeling on edge
🥀brain fog or difficulty concentrating
🌵tension in the body (jaw, shoulders, stomach)
🥀trouble sleeping or fully relaxing
🌵feeling disconnected or “not quite yourself”
Over time, these patterns can become your normal, making it harder to recognize when your body, mind, and spirit are actually under strain.
But support can look different for everyone.
For some, it’s talking things through in counselling.
For others, it’s working with the body through chiropractic care or acupuncture, or creating space for the nervous system to settle through energy-based therapies.
For many, it could simply be taking a walk, meditating, reading a book, or watching a good movie. Whatever it may be, addressing the daily burden of stress is crucial for our bodies ability to heal, be present, and keep us going.
Stress Awareness Month is a reminder to check in — not just with how you’re thinking, but with how you’re feeling in your body.
