As a teenager losing her sight, Danica never thought she’d use a white cane – let alone be partnered with a guide dog. Now, 13 years later, Danica is eagerly waiting to be matched with her very first guide dog. She partially attributes her decision to hearing stories from others who have applied for and been partnered with a guide dog.

In celebration of International Guide Dog Day, Danica spoke with Micheal about his experience as a young adult waiting to be matched with a guide dog.

On Saturday an other one of my dear client and friend passed away.
Ruth Gibbs 59 years old.
She was a warrior, after many years of battle with dialysis, blindness, diabetes, several surgeries.
She always had a hope in Jesus Christ and try to live her life as best as she could, very positive and independent.
I was blessed to be able to be with her in the last four years.
giving her quality life through
