It has been a long time since I have posted anything here but I finally got myself sorted. This is Cayo a Mexican rescue that was hit by a car and has in human terms what is known as a drop foot or dorsi flexion weakness. He effectively can not lift his paw up when he walks and therefore stands on his rolled under toes and drags it along. Obviously this is not ideal and painful for Cayo and those that care for him.
Enter Canine Bracing Victoria!
After a couple variations on the brace design Cayo was fit with a dorsi assist joint on one side and a standard canine joint on the other at the hock level. Although he still internally rotates or pigeon toes he is now landing on the bottom of his paw and is not injuring himself by dragging it.
