🎉 Celebrating 7 Years! 🎉

We’re proud to mark our 7th anniversary, surrounded by the amazing people who make our community so special. Our Clubhouse members, staff, and board recently came together to celebrate this milestone. It was a wonderful reminder of everything we’ve built together, and exciting to imagine where we see ourselves in the future!

Now, we’re excited to extend that celebration to our valued community partners, donors, and supporters. Your ongoing encouragement and belief in our work have made these seven years possible.

On Clubhouse Giving Day, your support helps create safe, welcoming spaces where people living with mental illness can find connection, purpose, and hope. A place where no one has to face recovery alone. Mark your calendars for May 1st!

Just days later, Mental Health Week (May 4–11) reminds us how important that connection really is.

Every contribution, big or small, helps to:
• Build community for those who feel isolated
• Support recovery through meaningful work and relationships

Check out our new Clubhouse Development board! There are many important aspects of running a Clubhouse, and we thought there should be a dedicated, visible space to organize big-picture aspects of our work including, but not limited to:

- Unit Planning
- Decision-Making
- Strategic Planning
- Colleague Training
- Accreditation

There are two International Standards that relate to the work mentioned above, functioning as guiding principles:

Clubhouse International Standard #20 states, "Members have the opportunity to participate in all the work of the Clubhouse, including administration, research, enrolment and orientation, reach out, hiring, training and evaluation of staff, public relations, advocacy and evaluation of Clubhouse effectiveness."

Clubhouse International Standard #37 states, "The Clubhouse holds open forums and has procedures which enable members and staff to actively participate in decision making, generally by consensus, regarding governance, policy making, and the future direction and development of the Clubhouse."

Today we say goodbye to Morgan on her last day as part of our Clubhouse staff team đź’š

For the past two years, Morgan has been such a valued part of our community. Her positive spirit, kindness, and genuine care for the people around her have made a lasting impact on everyone here. Whether through the little moments of encouragement or the many ways she supported our community, Morgan helped make our Clubhouse a warmer and more welcoming place.

As she begins a new chapter and moves away from Victoria, we want to thank her for all she has given to the Clubhouse. We will truly miss her energy and the joy she brought to our days.

Are you looking to level up your computer skills?

Join us on Wednesdays at 11-11:30am in the Business Unit for our weekly Tech Club! We’ve been using this time to work on our typing skills ⌨️

We also have a Basic Computer Skills Workshop coming up next month, on February 25th from 2-3pm. This workshop will focus on Microsoft programs and will be led by a tech-savvy member! All levels and abilities are welcome to join.
