Our friend and colleague and gifted poet, Richard Osler passed yesterday. Richard facilitated poetry therapy workshops with our IOP for a number of years. I will always hear the echo of his exuberant and joyful laughter emanating from the group room, lighting up the clinic and lifting my heart. Neal Berger used to say “we need to give people a different experience of themselves in treatment”. Richard gave that gift to so many people. He was a lovely soul and we will miss him

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Pegasus Recovery Solutions’ Intensive Outpatient Program offers superior, trauma-focused outpatient addiction treatment for adults 19+ who are struggling with substance use and other addictive disorders. Participants are able to receive exemplary care to attain recovery, while still engaging in their day-to-day lives and family obligations.
With an emphasis on evidence-based treatment methods, participants are supported in attaining and maintaining recovery from substances and process addictions. Participants gain insight into behaviours, develop emotional regulation skills, improve the quality of important relationships, and integrate relapse prevention tools essential for life in recovery.
