It is a wonderful event for kids ages 5 and up (teens welcome!) to showcase their art in any kind of medium. There are paintings, drawings, photos, fiber art, etc. You can come down to the cafe, have a stroll through while grabbing a drink/treat at the Spiral Cafe on Craigflower Road in Vic West. The Spiral Cafe have been supporting the creative homeschoolers for many years now.
Covid Protocols in place. Masks are mandatory. No exemptions permitted.

Please contact Wendy for further information: wendyharmer811@gmail.com

Drop off dates will be sent out soon. It will be the last week of January.

LAST CALL FOR MICROSOFT OFFER - ONLY UNTIL DEC 7!!!
For current VHLN Members:
Through Techsoup Canada, an organization that offers non-profits and charities software deals, we have access to a special deal for our home learning families, which some families took advantage of last year.
As a current member of the VHLN, you are able to purchase software licenses for Microsoft Office 2019 Standard for $70, in both Windows 10 and OSX versions.
Both Mac and PC versions include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & OneNote, and Publisher is also included in the Windows version.
The Microsoft Office 2019 Standard edition normally retails for $145.00 and up. The way Microsoft Office 2019 Standard edition differs from Microsoft’s other 'Office 365' product, is that 'Office 365' is a monthly subscription, and retails for $79-109 per year, but it is a subscription. The Microsoft Office 2019 Standard edition is a one-time purchase, so no monthly subscription - you pay once and you own it forever.
If you are interested in purchasing, and are a current member, please fill out the form below by Dec. 7, 2021, as we will order the licenses all at the same time:
FORM: https://forms.gle/JjzCEvCzTiqzqwuD7
The organization can purchase up to 50 copies. Payments can be made to VHLN via PayPal, but we will firm up those details once we see how much interest we have from the forms filled out. It will take between 5-10 days to secure the licenses after Dec. 1.
If you have 2 or more computers, you can purchase additional licenses through the VHLN for each of your computers.
As well, if you need Office versions for Windows 7/8, we can also purchase a copy of Office 2016 for you.
If you have any additional questions, please email vhln.association@gmail.com.
Thanks!

One of the reasons I like the homeschool method is . Victoria has SO MUCH NATURE to explore. The whole concept of getting outside and observing our world and recording it seems like too much fun for me. But it seemed a bit intimidating at first. How do you start? Where do you begin?

For the rest of this week, I'm going to try and bring you a few posts to help you get going if you're interested in starting .
