Did you know Victoria Hospice Bereavement Services offers an 8-week support group for adults who are grieving someone who has died by a toxic drug/substance-related death? Co-facilitated by two bereavement counsellors, the group incorporates grief education, sharing and support, therapeutic activities and exploration.

The group aims to enhance one’s sense of community and belonging, explore unique features of grief in response to a substance use-related death, and support the healing process of grief. This group takes place in a public park, where the nature-based format adds to the therapeutic experience of the support group.

Running from May 20th to July 15th, these 8 sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30pm. https://victoriahospice.org/event/room-to-grieve-space-to-heal-a-bereavement-support-group-following-a-toxic-drug-death/

Thank you to Royal Oak Burial Park for generously sponsoring the Tree of Remembrance at Hike for Hospice.

Each year, this special tree becomes a place for participants to pause, write the names of those they carry in their hearts, and add their messages to its branches. Royal Oak Burial Park’s support helps make this meaningful tradition possible, creating a shared space for remembrance and healing.

We’re honoured to have your partnership ❤️
