Here are just a few of the MANY things we've tackled this July, a month of indecisive weather...using Community Acupuncture!

If you are unfamiliar with the wonders of Community Acupuncture, in a nutshell, it is acupuncture treatments offered in a supportive group setting at $30-60 sliding scale rates. We provide treatments consisting of distal points (arms, legs, head, ears) while comfortably lying in zero gravity recliner chairs.

Acupuncture is a dose dependent therapy and that the benefits are achieved by frequency, and less so by individual doses. Therefore, the appropriate treatment plan is key in assisting the gradual process for resolving issues and promoting recovery. It becomes more accessible for clients to access as much treatment as often as they need.

Community acupuncture = affordable and accessible holistic health care.

Dear community, join us in rallying together to help support beloved local herb shop as they undergo a slow summer and the impacts tariffs have had on many independent businesses. Funds will go towards rent and bill payments, purchasing herbs for the upcoming year from small scale growers, and continuing to develop accessible herbal care for the community 💌 Come on out to see some local heartthrobs perform, delight in an alcohol free herbal soda bar, and peruse the silent auction filled with medicine, art and other wares by our talented community!

Another beautiful thank you / goodbye card from one of our regular acu-nappers who has made the difficult decision to uproot from Lekwungen Territories to reunite with family in the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy.

We will miss you, but look forward to your visit to the Island in August :)

Christina is a magician, and the H&H is a beautiful, respectful space for collective healing.

I began seeing Christina for my Graves’ disease. At that time, I was struggling with significant anxiety and minor heart palpitations. I had no energy and felt exhausted all the time. During our sessions, Christina would name exactly what I was feeling and sensing but couldn’t articulate, which felt incredibly healing.

Acu-napping with others feels like we’re energizing meditation and deep rest together, which to me feels like a profound offering to the collective – an act of togetherness I cherish while living in a society that’s predominantly individualistic.

Again, it’s life-affirming to be in a space that aligns with your values. I followed Christina’s treatment plan, and after about six months, my hormone levels are back to normal, no more palpitations, and my energy has returned.

I highly recommend Heart & Hands – it’s love in action 💗

We'd like to remind our client base about the impact cancelling short notice or missing your appointments have on Heart & Hands. 

Margins are narrow for tiny, grassroots businesses like ours and not to mention that everyone under our roof are self-employed, no paid vacation, sick days or benefits. We depend on our clients arriving at their scheduled time in order to collect the revenues for us to keep our lights on. 

And that in order for us to continue providing our affordable and accessible services, our client base must also do their part by being accountable to the time they have booked as well as to their fellow acu-nappers and our hardworking practitioners. 

Remember that late cancellations (less than 12 hrs notice) and missed appointments are subject to a $35 fee. Please be accountable and pay your fees promptly, your practitioner had committed time in their schedule to you and should be compensated.

Well, as life does when you’re busy making plans, it happened! Not only have we passed the 1 year mark of our Quadra Village lease – 14 months to be exact – but we also passed our 1st anniversary of reopening in our new collaborative space, in the blink of an eye!!

This is a reflection of the past year from the perspectives of both Heart & Hands and our sister biz, Green Muse Herbs. Taking stock of the time that has just flown by and its respective successes and setbacks helps to inform us in the variety of ways we hope to move forward.

Lastly, we would just like to say, on behalf of both Green Muse Herbs and Heart & Hands Health Collective, thank you for co-creating this shared inner city sanctuary with us. We look forward to growing together toward a more caring future in the years to come.

I have been a client of Christina‘s for over a year now and it has been one of the best decisions that I have made. I was having some discomfort in my side and for the life of me could not figure out what it was. I was desperate in looking for some help to figure out what was going on as it was really uncomfortable. I was suggested to try acupuncture and to see Christina as I was told she was amazing! After reading a bit about Christina’s journey on her site, she had been through a lot and I was drawn to her for the fact that she is incredibly strong! I also really admire what she does to help others in the community. I had good feelings about her, and knew I would be in good hands.

I see Christina for different reasons as I get anxious and over think everything, tending to not be very grounded. I also deal with psoriasis and sometimes it can really flare up. The acupuncture has helped me slow my thoughts, become more grounded, and with the psoriasis, it cools it off internally giving me some relief. I also found that when my psoriasis really flared up and I was going consistently once a week, it seemed to really give me the relief I was needing and I also noticed that the flare up was calming down. It always seems that I make appointments when the time is needed.

I have been nothing but amazed as to what acupuncture does to the body! I am incredibly grateful that I started going to see Christina, and would highly recommend Heart & Hands!
