“Spirit Horses” - 16” horse hide drum... As I was making this drum I saw the images of the wispy white horses charging out from between two sides of a huge rock crevice as if they were already imprinted in the skin itself. As I painted... two ancient, ancestral guardian facial rock profiles emerged to watch the gateway. The be**er was wrapped in leathers to match the colors in the lining of the denim drum bag. More horse faces are appliquéd on the front of the bag. The lining is cotton flannel in a many horse print. I also made a small mini rattle from the hide to go with the drum. It also has its own small protective pouch. This drum was purchased by a woman. She bought it for her adopted little 6 yr old Blackfoot girl from my Etsy shop and they absolutely love it! (SOLD)

“The Oak Man” - commissioned rattle I made for a Client. When I cut out the leather oak leaf, I liked the negative shape so much that I used it on the pouch too. It became a doorway to a sacred grove complete with a door handle. My Client said he works with trees, loves the color green and the Oak tree in particular. Creating to match or harmonize with a person’s intention and go beyond expectations is very rewarding!

“Tiny Rattle Necklace”
A new item I’m going to offer For Sale 🥰 I’ll take custom orders... Right now I have some cut in horse hide (4 naturally dark brown) and elk hide (lots) which can be dyed any color or left a pale natural shade of caramel. The leather lace round the neck is adjustable. I have a selection of tree types for handles. This one was made specially for a friend from the last scrap piece of black bear skin that I had in my freezer. The tiny handle is dried Blackberry. A scrap of Bear fur and a tiny piece of rose quartz finishes it. Inside are Labradorite chips. Plain necklace rattles with ocean beach stones will start at $55. Fancy custom orders like this with fur will be $75. Pm message me if interested 🙂

#2 This drum was made by Jenny in my recent ladies drum making workshop 😍 it’s a pale pearlescent lavender color, 14” deerskin. Each woman started with a basic idea at the beginning and each drum transformed into something unexpected! The women went through powerful transformations as well 😜

“Thunder Dreamer” - Newest drum, be**er and bag I made for a friend! Still has to be painted. My son designed the pencil image of the Thunderbird in front of the moon. I’ll paint it in blue stormy tones similar to the image he found on google. It’s a horse hide drum with a buffalo ring on the back holding the tension. The be**er is from a massive horse chestnut tree. I made the drum bag with eagles on front and back and the fleece lining has images of horses on it. This was a very challenging drum to make because the hide was so thick!

“Angel Dust and Fairy Magic”
- A one of a kind set, a medicine bag, a mini drum rattle and a drum be**er...
These pieces make up a set that speaks to me of the etheric realms, flower devas, softness, and delicate yet powerful energies! The painted deerskin mini rattle has moonstone chips inside and a protective suede pouch. The silver figure on top could be an angel or a fairy... The be**er is large leaf maple with a burl at the end and small pale lavender feathers that reminded me of a fairy’s wing. The flowers and dots whisper of healing gardens to be explored... “Spirit Weaver”
This little mini rattle was made intuitively for a dear friend. I felt compelled to purchase the striped wood hoop while browsing in an antique shop. The stripes and colours run all the way through the wood. They are not painted on. The hide is two pieces of red Roe deer from Poland. The little painting of the woman in the tree also emerged intuitively and spontaneously. The pouch is a burnt orange silk lined with red cotton. I did not know what it would be used for or what the intent was behind the making other than it felt appropriate somehow 🙂 When I saw Red Moon Mystery Schools post on her weaving and her collections of red earth pigments, I knew I had followed my guidance in the right direction and the post was confirmation. I love making custom pieces for special people like Nikiah to match their spirit work!
