Avoid these if you want your new years plans to stick.
👉 Going from one extreme to the other.
- - If youre having a bit of fun with the cookies and ice cream right now, suddenly trying to start eating like a bodybuilder who's 10 weeks from stage isn't going to stick. Hell, THEY barely make it that long without losing their minds over the smell of a donut.
👉 Thinking you need to be perfect to see results.
- - On a scale of 1-10, 10 being eating nothing but chicken and broccoli. If you find yourself at a 4... aim to be a 5 and celebrate that win. When that becomes easy, aim for a 6. And don't believe you ever NEED to be at 10.
Remember there's no happiness at 10, unless you're into extreme discipline. Nobody's going to invite you out to the movies though.
- - Going from 2 sugary coffees or sodas a day to 1 is an improvement.
Going from no fruit and veg to a couple bananas today is an improvement.
Going from not thinking about protein to adding one more serving of something high in protein today is an improvement.
