Day 1 of our Food Security Gathering. Our hearts, minds and tummies are full! What a breathtaking environment on beautiful Musqueam territory, so many incredible teachings today from greenhouse management, dying wool with plants and fungi, smoke house preparation, chef Nola Mack, heck we even played BINGO!! It was an inspirational day with community, family and our emcee extraordinaire, elder and knowledge holder Shane Pointe. We finished off the evening with a special viewing of Tea Creek and met Director Ryan Dickie . Can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring.🌱🐝🪵🍄🫐🍅 🫎 🍣💧

I·SPARC Healthy Living

I·SPARC’s Healthy Living unites community champions who are passionate about health and wellness, and empowers individuals to become more active and make healthier lifestyle choices.

Getting involved with I·SPARC Healthy Living all starts with leader training. Offered both regionally and provincially, our leader training equips individuals with the knowledge, tools and resources to design, plan and deliver healthy living programs in their communities. The four programs offered through I·SPARC Healthy Living are: the Indigenous RunWalk, the Honour Your Health Challenge, FitNation, & HealthBeat.

  • Indigenous RunWalk: an 8-21 week program designed to prepare participants for a 5 or 10K community run/walk event

  • Honour Your Health Challenge: a 6-week program that encourages innovation in promoting healthy, active lifestyles. Past programs include traditional cooking, jigging, weekly hike clubs, medicinal plan harvesting, canoe pulling and so much more!
