A good clinician (and coaches) have a knack for connecting with people, also known as “therapeutic alliance” or rapport/making a connection. 🤝

It’s the trust and willingness of two parties to work together towards a common goal.🎯

Research shows that trust leads to adherence, progress, and lasting change. Which is a great predictor for treatment outcomes. Over 80 years ago, a model known as “common factors model”, suggested that contextual factors lend themselves to treatment efficacy. These contextual factors are what are known as “non-specific effects”.

These effects include but are not limited to, trust, empathy, patience, genuine interest, attentiveness, and making a meaningful connection. These factors in conjunction with a thorough history and comprehensive assessment lead to a powerful and dynamic goal-orientated alliance.🏆

Never underestimate the importance of a sincere connection towards a partnership with all of your patients in order to reach the desired and mutual goal. 💪

Welp, finally invested in a bike! What better time then ! Sadly It’s been over 15yrs since I’ve owned a bike....first ride felt pretty good...in most areas! Not ideal times to be adventuring outside but sometimes you just gotta put a positive spin on things and roll with it 🚲😏
Thanks to and her hubby for the bike, thanks to and .thomas.3344 for some gear and tips!
Hope everyone’s getting some form of exercise during all of this (with appropriate precautions and space of course).

📢Yet another research article proving education combined with specific exercise rehabilitative programming can greatly reduce pain and therefore give you more control over your body and overall well-being!

🔎Lateral hip pain reduced by:
👉 78% with exercise therapy🥇🎯👊
👉Only 58% with pain injection therapy💉
(Often coming back with more pain 3-6months later)
👉Only 29% by doing nothing ⏳👎🏻🤔
All after 8wks.

Get busy finding answers and someone to help you OR try your luck with the wait and see approach or temporary pain relief via steroid injections.
Athletic therapists are well suited to help you as well as many similar issues after a thorough, functional assessment.
