We hope everyone had a relaxing holiday season with some fun mixed in.

There will not be a January newsletter as we are already half way through the month, almost, so we'll highlight a couple of things here:

1) As we just opened last week, our supplements will be arriving later this week and early next week.
As always, we recommend pre-ordering or calling ahead to make sure we have what you are looking for.

2) There will not be anyone immediately available at the front desk to answer the phones, etc., on the following dates and times:
* Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026 from 2-4pm; and
* Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 from opening until ~10:15am.
Dr. Yam will help out however he can; otherwise, Violet will get back to you as soon as she is able to once she is back in the office.

We hope everyone has healthy start to 2026; a new year full of things that have not happened yet ;)

MEET OUR STAFF: Dr. Peter Yam, N.D. Dr. Yam has been practicing as a Naturopathic Physician in British Columbia for over 20 years. He has extensive training in health sciences including various academic degrees in science, education and Naturopathic medicine. He also holds numerous diplomas in clinical acupuncture, nutrition, psychotherapy, addictions counselling and bio-energetic medicine. Dr. Yam is an excellent lecturer focusing on empowering individuals to take charge of their own health. In addition Dr. Yam is a member of the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners, which focuses on the clinical sciences of anti-aging medicine. He also holds a certificate from the World Anti-Aging Academy of Medicine, a society of physicians and scientists dedicated to enhancing the quality and length of human life.

Chris Yam, Dr. TCM, R.Ac. Chris is the ultimate techinician and Dr. Yam’s Assistant. He is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, with a focus of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and Herbology. He has been with us for 18 years and performs our non-invasive testing, Laser Acutherapy (Acupuncture without needles) and various other treatments. Patients just love to come and see him for all his wisdom on nutrition.

Violet Medécigo, B.Sc Psych., RCT Violet is one of our front line assistants and back-up technicians (when Chris is unavailable) and is now going on her 20th year with us (she’s starting to feel old ;)). She is also our Thermography Technician (see our services page or website for details), a Cardiology Technologist (she can also do ECGs here too - we have an ECG machine) and a Young Living Distributor. She loves to travel (mostly to Mexico to visit in-laws) and loves her animals - please tell her all about your furbabies, as she is passionate about them ALL.

Lynda Wicklund Lynda is also one of our front line assistants and back-up technicians (again, when Chris is unavailable). She has been with us for 19 years and now commutes from up island 3 days/week - brave woman & we love her for it. Lynda also loves to travel - Vegas & Mexico are regular destinations ;)
