I've had a long journey of gradually feeling safe and comfortable with sharing how I feel, particularly while my anxiety feels out of control. I wrote this article to try to help those who feel the same. For many, being vulnerable feels impossible, and when you try it often feels worse at first. But wow, can it ever help relieve the pain! In my experience, being more and more vulnerable has led to more ease, trust and joy.

Have a read and let me know what you think:

Discover why anxiety is so hard to talk about—and how being vulnerable can be a powerful step toward healing.

When I started DoYogaWithMe, it wasn’t about building a brand—it was about sharing something that had brought meaning and healing into my life.
Yoga changed how I lived, how I connected with others, how I showed up in the world. And I wanted to make that experience available to as many people as possible—without cost being a barrier.
That’s why we’ve built something different. No outside investors. No ads. No pressure to buy. Just a community-supported platform offering hundreds of free, high-quality yoga and meditation classes to people around the world.
We’ve chosen this path because we believe wellness should be accessible to everyone—not just those who can afford a subscription.
As you can imagine, this business model has been challenging, since it only works because some people choose to pay so that many don’t have to. Over the 15 years of our existence, we have been ok with being the 'little guy' amongst many big fish, since it allows us to be authentic to our mission and more creative with our story telling.
If you believe in accessible, values-driven wellness, I invite you to learn more about what makes us different—and why it matters:
We’re not just here to offer yoga. We’re here to serve, to support, and to stay true to a mission.

What Makes Us Different?   1. Free Content 200 of our classes are free, no strings attached. 2. Diversity In body size and shape, people of color. 3. True to Yoga We honor what yoga was originally meant to be - honest, generous, community-focused, service-oriented and transformative. 4. Plastic-fre...

One of most common things I hear from people living with chronic anxiety is that they've tried everything and nothing has helped. I felt the same for many, many years. So after decades of trying everything I could (holotropic breathwork, hot cold therapy, adrenaline sports, psychedelics) I finally wrote an article that is in response to that sentiment. Let me know your thoughts.

Think you’ve tried everything for your anxiety? You might be missing the tools that actually shift your nervous system. From cold plunges to breathwork to dance, here’s a playful, honest guide to the healing paths you haven’t tried—yet.

🌿 Struggling with anxiety that just won’t go away?
You’re not alone.

For years, I lived with chronic anxiety. I tried the usual approaches — medication, therapy, even just “pushing through.” But something was missing.

Anxiety isn’t just in your head. It lives in the nervous system — shaped by past stress, daily habits, and the fast pace of modern life.

In my latest blog post, I explore:

💬 Why so many of us stay stuck in the cycle of anxiety
🧠 How our healthcare systems often miss the deeper root causes
🌬️ 7 gentle, practical ways to begin healing — from the inside out

If you’ve been searching for a more holistic, compassionate approach to anxiety, this is for you.

💛 And if it resonates, feel free to share it with someone who needs it.

Why is chronic anxiety so hard to heal? Explore the deeper roots of anxiety, why most systems offer only surface-level solutions, and seven practical steps you can take to start healing from the inside out — grounded in breath, nourishment, movement, and self-compassion.

When you're a leader of an organization, you are responsible for the mental well being of every member of your team. An individual's mental health depends on a variety of factors, so it's important to promote a culture that encourages everyone to take care of themselves.

One approach is to get everyone to do self check-ins using a list like this one:

1. Identify Triggers: Keep a log of moments when you feel anxious to identify patterns and specific triggers.

2. Organize Your Tasks: Create a structured to-do list to prioritize tasks. Break larger projects into smaller, manageable steps, and assign deadlines to each.

3. Set Realistic Deadlines: Avoid overcommitting by setting achievable goals and allowing yourself extra time for large projects.

4. Practice Deep Breathing: Engage in deep breathing exercises or mindfulness practices to reset your stress response when anxiety arises.

5. Take Micro-Breaks: Short breaks throughout the day can help recalibrate your emotions and reduce stress.

6. Create a Soothing Workspace: Personalize your workspace with calming elements such as plants, photos, or essential oil diffusers.

7. Communicate Openly: Maintain clear communication with colleagues and supervisors about your workload and feelings.

8. Set Boundaries: Establish clear boundaries between work and personal life. For instance, avoid checking work emails after hours.

9. Engage in Physical Activity: Regular exercise can release calming neurotransmitters that improve overall well-being.

10. Utilize Support Systems: Reach out to supportive colleagues or friends when feeling overwhelmed.
