The Gentle Knitter Knitting by hand (socks, yoga socks, fingerless gloves, hats, cowls)

A number of years ago, to differentiate me from the other knitter at a market, I was referred to as "the gentle knitter." It seemed so reassuring and "gezellig" (Dutch for "hygge" or "cozy") -- that it is now my new business name! I laugh when I think about the opposite of the gentle knitter -- the angry knitter 😤 , the violent knitter 🤯 , the crabby knitter 🤨 ... it just does NOT fit with why I knit: the rhythm of knitting, the accomplishment that builds row by row, the stimulation of colour, and the touch therapy of yarn. It makes people happy to watch me tuck my knitting needle under my arm and get into the flow zone....
