🌈One aspect of Neurodivergent-Affirming-Care means that I am aware that some days it feels too challenging to show up for your appointment due to feeling the need to “mask” and “perform” social interactions before/after the treatment.

As a neurodiverse practitioner I understand this block and I am offering this invitation to attend your appointments with me with whatever level of socializing you require that day.

If small talk or speaking about yourself/situation is too draining — please feel free to tell me at the door, or email me prior to your appointment to let me know that you would like a silent or minimal conversational session.

Other than the ”big 3” Q’s (how is your digestion/menstruation/sleep) — we will keep the interactions to a minimum so you can still receive the care you need❣️❣️❣️

“Physiologically, emotions are themselves: Electrical, Chemical, and Hormonal Discharges of the human nervous system.

Emotions influence — and are influenced by— the functioning of our major organs, the integrity of our immune defences, and the workings of the many circulating biological substances that help govern the body’s physical states.
When emotions are REPRESSED—this inhibition disarms the body’s defences against illness.

REPRESSION = dissociating emotions from awareness and relegating them to the UNCONSCIOUS realm; disorganizing and confusing our physiological defences, so that in some people these defences go awry… becoming the destroyers of health rather than its protectors.”

This excerpt from Gabor Maté’s book radicalized how I approach health and healing. I’ve been passionately studying all things Mind-Body connection ever since!
This is wisdom that the Traditional Chinese Medicine system has always known and strongly incorporates in its treatment framework (for over 1000 years).

I started my healer’s journey with Reiki over a decade ago… but everything evolved when I integrated Mind-Body connections into my treatments. It created a blueprint of the specific areas within the body/energybody (meridians & acupoints) that hold these repressed emotions/energies.
With the combination of this medicine & Reiki (and other energy arts) we bring what’s unconscious— into the conscious awareness… 🌚🌒🌓🌔🌝
