Westshore Massage welcomes Carli Planeta, RMT to our team! Carli graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2023. With a history of working in the harm-reduction sector of mental health and addictions, Carli has a compassionate and empathic ability to meet clients where they are at, to hear and help recognize goals, and collaborate with a client-centered approach to form treatment plans accordingly.
Whether you are looking for relaxation or healing from/managing chronic or acute imbalance, Carli is trained in all general Swedish techniques (manual lymph drainage, joint mobilizations, deep tissue therapy, myofascial, and trigger point release) to meet your needs.
Inspired by Yoga teacher training, Carli brings a gentle flow to treatment sessions and often incorporates guided breathing to help calm the system and integrate the work done together.
When focused on personal wellness she enjoys hiking in the woods with her dog, long motorcycle rides, playing music, travel, and gardening.

We are excited to welcome back to our team Marie Ingouf, RMT! She will be returning in April and her schedule will be available for on-line booking soon at: https://westshoremassagetherapy.janeapp.com/

Marie graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2019. Her interest in massage was sparked through her yoga practice, noticing how the body and fascia would release in some poses while breathing. Similarly, her treatments incorporate elements of stretching and muscle activation (PNF, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) to increase range of motion and restore tissue integrity. Treatments are a blend of general Swedish with Osteopathic techniques such as Craniosacral Therapy. Marie can also treat the jaw internally with intraoral TMJ work.

Her approach is alignment based, all the while knowing that the body is inherently asymmetrical due to its viscera: the heart leans to the left, the lungs are different, the right diaphragm is "bigger" and the liver below it weighs up to 2.5kg, etc. This dance of art and science, observing and letting be, makes every treatment and encounter unique. Her biggest satisfaction is for patients to feel calmer, more centred and at ease coming out of a session.
