We are doing an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course in Viking on the 16th and have room for a few more people. RN’s, EMS practitioners..let me know if you would like to attend. It’s blended so you will get a link to do the lecture and test portion online then attend the practical day.

Well spring is around the corner it’s looking like and soon we will be able to enjoy the warmer temperatures.
With that change coming often our thoughts don’t turn to doing courses or recertification of our first aid levels.
Take a look at your cards and make sure you are current and if close to expiry get into a course as soon as you can. If you go past your expiry date you need to do the full two day course not just the recert.

So take a look and make sure you are all certified up and ready to enjoy the spring/summer. If you need a recert let me know.

Attention health care providers.
Are you in need of courses or recertification?

-BLS recertifications are available, if you need your CPR recertified let me know and we can work to get it completed for you.

-We will be hosting an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course on Sept 30th. This will be a full course for people new to ACLS or who could benefit from the whole course again.

-Need ACLS recertified, let me know and we will work towards a date to get you recertified.

Keeping in line with current AHS guidelines class sizes will be limited with social distancing, increased hand hygiene, and further precautions.

I will be resuming Standard first aid training as well starting within the next week. As some of you know there are options for getting certified.
1- The new online training. This part minuses the lecture part and let’s you complete online. It takes approx 6 hrs on the computer you can do at your own with spare time at home. Then once complete you arrange a day with an instructor to do your practical. Has worked great for students so far!
2-Can still do the in class course with an instructor providing the lecture and practical as you go.
Able to offer both and both will get you Standard first aid certification with Level C CPR

With COVID restrictions lessening courses will now return to being provided. In some cases provisons may still be required such as face masks etc. More details will be provided on a course by course basis.

-We have had some interest in hosting a Standard First aid Childcare course. Taking this course will provide you with lifesaving first aid skills, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, and injury prevention skills and knowledge, with a focus on childhood injuries and illnesses.

Needing first aid for the first time or to be recerted?

There are know online options that allow you to do the lecture portion online when ever you have spare time. From there you need to simply set up a time with an instructor to go through the skills portion. It’s that easy!

It cuts back on classroom time but you still get the same certification.
