Smoky Lake's own Derek Zaplotinsky is chasing gold at the Paralympic Winter Games!

He’ll be competing in sitting nordic skiing, which means he can race in both cross-country skiing and biathlon — and we’re proud to have him representing our community on the world stage.

Be sure to cheer him on in the following events:

Biathlon:
March 7, 2:35 p.m. — Men’s Sprint
March 8, 3:30 p.m. — Men’s Individual
March 13, 3:15 p.m. — Men’s Sprint Pursuit (Qualifying)

Cross Country Skiing:
March 10, 2:55 p.m. — Men’s Sprint (Qualifying)
March 11, 3:10 p.m. — Men’s 10km Interval Start
March 15, 2:15 p.m. — Men’s 20km Interval Start
