Rob Patterson’s memorial service was a true reflection of the man himself – relaxed, down-to earth, and full of heart. In keeping with his laid-back spirit, casual dress was encouraged for everyone, including the funeral home staff. It created an atmosphere that felt genuine, comfortable, and true to Rob’s way of life.
Guests were welcomed with Coca-Cola at the door, and licorice was place on each seat – small but meaningful touches that paid tribute to Rob’s favourite things. Close family friend, Tammy Theisen participated as Master of Ceremonies and his devoted wife and best friend Tracy gave the eulogy on a day that would have marked their 35th wedding Anniversary.
One of the most memorable parts of the day was a car and truck show, celebrating Rob’s passion for vehicles. Friends, family, and fellow enthusiasts gathered to share stories and admire the display – a fitting tribute to someone who loved the open road.
The memorial concluded with a final Farewell Parade through the community of Marshall where Rob & Tracy raised their three boys, Brett, Brodie and Bryce. With engines running and fellow car enthusiasts following Rob took one last ride through the streets that shaped his life in his own truck “Old Earl”.
It was a farewell filled with love, laughter, and remembrance – a perfect send – off for a man that will never be forgotten.
