Hi everyone,
Let me take a moment to introduce ourselves for those who may not know who we are.
Our names are Michael and Carlee Whitelock, we have been married since 2009, and we have two daughters. We both grew up around the Wainwright & Hardisty area, moved away to Edmonton separately, and that is where we met. We spent close to 12 years in Edmonton, I worked in the hotel and restaurant industry for most of that time. Carlee worked at a bank and Albert Blue Cross. In 2018 we made the decision to move to Regina as I was approached and given a great opportunity to become a General Manager at a restaurant.
Once Covid hit and the restaurant was closed down, Carlee and I realized it was time to move back home so we could raise our girls in a small community. One absolute positive of Covid, for those who know me I do try to find the positive in any situation. Sometimes it's hard I'm not going to lie, but I believe what energy you put out into the world is the type of energy you will receive. So why not find the positive in things? But I'm rambling now... back to my statement, the positive thing about Covid is how much time we were able to spend together as a family while the restaurant was closed. We grew as a family and as individuals and I'm grateful for that.
You may see sometimes that I refer to my family as Team Whitelock this is because the girls, Carlee and I make a great team and I'm proud of the team we have become. We tell out girls that we are stronger together as a team and we will always be there for each other no matter what. We work through life as a team.
Some of you may be asking, why did you and Carlee pick Young Living Oil. The reason we picked YL is simple, we both believe in their products. All of the products are grown in fields, and not created in a lab filled full of chemicals. For myself, I personally use peppermint oil to help with migraines, and it does help, I'm not needing to take as much Tylenol etc. I'm excited for us to expand our knowledge about the entire YL brand and what YL has to offer and to share that with you.
Fun fact, did you know that once the plants are harvested and the oils have been extracted, Young Living only distills the oils one time, only once! When most other essential oils are distilled between 5 - 8 times. You may ask well what does that mean, think of it as you drinking a tea. The first time you use the tea bag you get the full effect of the flavor, now what happens if you re-use the tea bag up to 8 times? Your tea is weak and the flavor is lost. It's the same with oils, the more times you distill it the weaker the oil becomes.
