We are accepting donations for the Saugeen Hospice Annual Garage Sale! Your donations are sold at the annual sale with the proceeds going towards Saugeen Hospice and its mission to bring compassionate end-of-life care closer to home in southern Grey and Bruce Counties and surrounding areas. Saugeen Hospice extends a sincere thank you to the Second Hand Rose Shop for their generous donation of $5,000 toward the build of Saugeen Hospice.

For years, Second Hand Rose Shop has supported local organizations and families throughout Bruce and Grey counties by turning donated treasures into meaningful support for the community. Through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of donors and shoppers, they continue to make a real difference across our region.

Their contribution reflects the strength of neighbours helping
neighbours and a shared commitment to compassionate care close to home.

Thanks to the generosity of volunteers, sponsors, hikers, donors, schools, and supporters, this year’s event has raised more than $127,000, and donations are still coming in. Most hike locations saw increased participation and fundraising compared to 2025.

More hikers, more donations and alot of activity to support Saugeen Hospice.

We are sincerely grateful to the Cargill District Community Foundation (CDCF) for their generous donation of $7,500 to Saugeen Hospice.

The Cargill District Community Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation committed to enriching communities through charity and service, now and for future generations. Through a wide variety of local fundraising and community betterment projects, they continue to fulfill their vision of being a leader committed to charitable and community needs.

We are deeply grateful to Kelly Fotheringham, retired Chairperson of Saugeen Hospice, for his generous donation of $5,000 made in loving memory of his wife, Sharon.

Kelly’s gift is not only a heartfelt tribute to Sharon’s life, but also a reflection of his unwavering passion and dedication to the vision and future of Saugeen Hospice. Throughout his time with Saugeen Hospice, Kelly was a driving force behind the momentum to build a hospice residence in our community. His leadership, commitment, and belief in this project have left a lasting foundation that continues to guide our work today.
