“Everybody is mumbling.”

If you’ve caught yourself saying this, you’re not alone. For many people, this is one of the earliest signs of hearing changes — especially when speech sounds unclear or blended together.

The good news? For most people, this can be improved with the right assessment and support. Clearer hearing often means easier conversations and feeling more present again.

💭 “How do I know if my hearing aids are even set up properly?”

It’s a common question — and an important one. Without proper verification, it’s hard to know if your hearing aids are actually delivering sound the way they should.

One of the most accurate ways to check is through Real Ear Measurement (REM). It allows your audiologist to measure sound right at your eardrum, helping ensure your hearing aids are adjusted for your hearing and your ears — not just a generic setting.

Think of it like checking your eyeglass prescription: better measurement = better fit. 👂✨

Got hearing aids at home that aren’t being used?

We often get asked if hearing aids from a loved one — or older devices that are no longer needed — can be donated. The answer is yes.

At All Ears, we have a full process for cleaning, checking, and verifying donated hearing aids to make sure they’re working safely. These devices are then matched with people who need hearing help but can’t purchase new ones.

We only charge for our professional services, which makes the overall cost far more accessible for those who need support.

If you have hearing aids you’d like to donate, feel free to drop them off anytime.

Thank you for helping us make hearing care more accessible in our community. 💙👂

👂💙 Did you know we provide pediatric hearing assessments?

If you’ve noticed changes in your child’s listening, speech, or responsiveness to sound — or if you simply want reassurance — a hearing assessment can help provide clarity.

Our audiologists offer child-friendly, age-appropriate hearing assessments in a calm and supportive setting, with time built in to explain results and next steps clearly for parents and caregivers.

Questions are always welcome — we’re here to support your family.

This is one of the most common questions we hear. Everyone’s hearing is unique, and the amount of improvement possible varies from person to person. During an assessment, we outline three key things:

1️⃣ what you can access without hearing aids
2️⃣ what the devices are providing right now
3️⃣ what additional improvement may be possible with proper adjustments

If your hearing aids were never verified using Real Ear Measurement — or if follow-up care was rushed — the devices may not be meeting your needs yet. A thorough evaluation can help determine whether the issue is the fit, the settings, or something else entirely.

Holiday gatherings mean more conversations.
Before the busy season, it’s a great time to have your hearing aids professionally cleaned and checked.

A quick visit can improve sound quality and help prevent issues when you need them most.

Not hearing well even after investing in hearing aids?

You’re not the only one — and it doesn’t mean you're stuck.

Sometimes the issue is the settings, the fit, or the type of device… and all of those can be fixed.

If you’re feeling frustrated, we’re here to help you start fresh and get things working the way they should.

Ever wondered what your ear canal actually looks like? 👀
With a video otoscope, we can show you everything on screen while we look together—wax, irritation, dryness, or sometimes just a perfectly clean ear.

For many people, the first step is simply figuring out what’s going on. Maybe you feel blocked, hear a change in sound, or just suspect something’s happening but aren’t sure where to start—this is a great place to begin.

We offer a free initial appointment to help determine what’s going on and guide the next steps—whether that’s wax removal, further testing, or simply peace of mind.

Curious about your ears’ secrets? Come take a look.

Do you ever hear a whooshing, pulsing, or thumping sound in your ear that seems to match your heartbeat?

This type of ear noise is called pulsatile tinnitus—and while it feels like traditional tinnitus, the mechanism is often different. Instead of coming from the inner ear itself, it may relate to how blood flows near the ear, neck, or head.

If you notice it more often, here are a few things worth noting:
📝 When you hear it (lying down, after exercise, during stress, etc.)
📍 Whether it’s one ear or both
🔍 Whether it changes with head position or elevation

Curious what’s going on? We can help you decode it and point you in the right direction.

👂 Ready to tackle stubborn earwax?
Earwax is normal (and actually protects your ears!), but sometimes it builds up and causes muffled hearing, discomfort, or that “full” feeling.

At All Ears, we often recommend Audiologist’s Choice ear drops to help soften wax safely before removal. These drops are a common tool in clinical care — but the real key is knowing when removal is needed and having it done properly.

👉 Skip the cotton swabs — your ear canal is delicate and easy to irritate.
👉 If wax is causing problems, a hearing care professional can help determine the safest next step.
