🌟 Meet the Team Monday! 🌟

This week, we’re excited to introduce Kyrstan!

Kyrstan has been a dedicated Personal Support Worker at Oaks Retirement Village for over 5½ years, and during that time she has built countless meaningful connections with our residents and their families. 💙

Outside of work, Kyrstan has been with her spouse for 10 years and is a proud parent of two kids. And if that wasn’t enough love to go around—she has a huge heart for animals! 🐾 Kyrstan currently shares her home with three beautiful cats and a snake, and she also fosters animals, making sure they’re healthy and ready before finding their forever homes.

Fun facts about Kyrstan:
🍝 She loves a good pasta dish
📍 Some of her favourite local spots include The Black Goose, Glasstown Brewery, and hunting for treasures at Two Jays Vintage—all right here in the heart of Wallaceburg
🌲 Her favourite pastimes include family day trips, hiking, camping, and bow shooting

As we begin the process of gently tucking away the Christmas decorations here at Oaks Retirement Village, we want to take a moment to share a heartfelt thank-you with our wonderful community. 💖

To every person and family who donated “vintage” Christmas decorations and Christmas village pieces — your kindness truly brought magic to our home. The smiles on our residents’ faces stretched from ear to ear, and the memories these treasures sparked were absolutely priceless.

And while we’re on the topic of gratitude, we also want to thank every family and organization who generously dropped off cards, baked goods, and poinsettias throughout the season. Your thoughtfulness filled our home with warmth, joy, and a beautiful sense of togetherness.

We are truly grateful for the incredible community we have here at Oaks — your support means more than you know. ❤️

As we wrap up another wonderful year here at Oaks Retirement Village, our hearts are full of gratitude for the moments, memories, and friendships we’ve shared. From laughter-filled gatherings to quiet conversations over coffee, every day has reminded us of the strength, resilience, and kindness within our community.

With the new year upon us, we look ahead with hope and excitement. A new year brings opportunity, growth, and positive change — and we’re ready to welcome it together. 🎄✨ The excitement is in the air on Acorn Lane! ✨🎄

Our residents spent the morning decorating their stockings, making them extra special and ready for Santa to fill with surprises 🎅🧦. Creativity, laughter, and plenty of Christmas cheer filled the morning as everyone added their own festive touch!

The countdown is officially on… only 7 more sleeps until Christmas! 🎁❄️
