For more than 50 years, Babcock Community Care Centre has been part of the fabric of Elgin, Kent, Lambton and Middlesex.

As a family owned, community based long-term care home, Babcock has cared for generations of local families in the Four Counties area. Now, a new chapter is taking shape in Wardsville.

Construction of a new 64 bed home is well under way and on track for completion in Spring 2026. This investment will generate $34.5 million in GDP and $24.1 million in labour income, supporting local trades, suppliers and families across the region.

Building modern long-term care does more than create new spaces. It strengthens rural economies, keeps care close to home and ensures seniors can age in the communities they helped build. This is how we protect Ontario’s economy and care for the people who shaped it.
