Hearing is vital to communicate with others and experience fulfilling relationships. Hearing loss can influence communication and negatively affect social interactions.
Untreated hearing loss is associated with social isolation and loneliness. However, when individuals prioritize their hearing health, they’re likely to stay connected to others and remain engaged in their daily activities.
How many people do you interact with on daily basis? Think beyond your immediate circle and consider the individuals you may have an encounter with at the coffee shop, the grocery store, the gas station, at the local hockey rink, etc.
It’s important to stay connected and be proactive with your hearing health, to maintain strong connections within your immediate circle and greater community.
If you’ve struggled to communicate with others, it may be time to book your diagnostic audiological assessment to better understand your hearing status.
