💪 Wellness Wednesday💪

Feeling tight across your chest? This simple Door Frame Chest Stretch helps open up your chest, relieve tension, and improve posture.

How to do it:
1️⃣ Stand in a doorway and place your forearms on each side — elbows at shoulder height or slightly lower, forming a “goalpost.”
2️⃣ Step one foot forward slowly (like a gentle lunge), keeping your chest tall
3️⃣ Lean forward gently until you feel a stretch across your chest and front shoulders.
4️⃣ Hold for 20–30 seconds, breathing deeply.
5️⃣ Step back to release and repeat as needed.

💡Tips:
✅ Keep shoulders relaxed — don’t shrug up
✅ Keep your head and neck neutral

Take a few minutes today to stretch and reset — your body will thank you!

💡Tip Tuesday💡

Don’t ‘should’ on yourself...

😖 I ‘should have’ done my Physio homework
😖 I ‘should have’ drank more water today
😖 I ‘should have’ paid closer attention to my food
😖 I ‘should have’ done more exercising this week
😖 I ‘should have’…

‘Should’-ing on yourself is something I always tell people to not worry about. Didn’t do your exercises? I would rather know and work on a plan together to make it work. There’s no benefit to feeling guilty or ashamed.

What have you been ‘should’-ing💩 on yourself lately that you are ready to give up?

💚Mental Health Monday💚

Give yourself permission to rest - it is important for your mental and physical health. Life moves fast, and sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down, breathe, and take a moment for yourself.

Finding the thought of "doing nothing" challenging? Book in with one of our counsellors to explore ways to relax, recharge, and manage stress effectively.

Remember - it’s okay to take a break!✨

🧠Fun Fact Friday🧠

This week’s fun fact comes from Haylie!

From the ages of 3 to 21 I danced - ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap, including solos, duets, and small group competitions.💃

Even though I was extremely clumsy without choreography, I am pleased to say that I went through my RAD ballet exams and passed my intermediate exam (second highest exam available).

Being able to go back on stage with Swinging with the Stars this past January was an absolute joy - I never thought I would perform on stage again.

Do I look graceful like a dancer still?😏

🌸Wellness Wednesday🌸

As we shift into back-to-school and work season, setting yourself up with healthy routines can make all the difference.

Here are a few tips to help you get started with your routines:
✨ Start with the basics and build up over time. Small, consistent habits are more sustainable than big changes all at once.
✨ Young children often need extra support early on—helping them now will lead to greater independence later.
✨ Remember, it’s okay to say no while you focus on creating these routines. Protecting your time and energy is part of the process.

Whether it’s meal prepping, setting regular sleep schedules, or carving out quiet moments, routines help you feel more grounded and less stressed. Give yourself (and your family) the gift of structure—it pays off in the long run.💛

What’s one routine that helps you feel your best? Share below—we’d love to hear! 👇

💡Tip Tuesday💡

Wondering how often you should have a massage? This week, one of our clinic’s RMTs, Chelsea, helps to answer this common question.

✨ Massage for relaxation?
Go as often as you’d like and can afford! Weekly, monthly, or even a few times a year—remember, prevention is always better than cure.

✨ Massage for pain relief?
It’s best to leave at least two days between sessions to allow your muscles to recover. Weekly or biweekly treatments are often recommended until pain subsides.

Whether you’re looking to ease pain, reduce stress, or simply take time for yourself, getting regular massages can make a big difference for your overall health and well-being. 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️
