Lance Burnhan, DDS

Lance Burnhan, DDS, is a highly experienced dentist with nearly 40 years of clinical expertise. Graduating as one of the youngest DDS recipients from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry in 1984, Lance immediately launched into private practice. He established a successful multi-dentist group practice in Aurora in 1985 and later expanded to Thornbury in 2001.
Throughout his career, Lance has placed thousands of implants, performed root canals, and handled complicated extractions. He has extensive experience in preventive care, aesthetics, bonding, oral medicine, treatment planning, crown and bridge work, and prosthodontics. Lance also served on part-time committees at the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, focusing on discipline.
In 2021, Lance survived a brainstem aneurysm and stroke, which led to a condition known as post-stroke central pain syndrome. Despite the challenges, his medical knowledge deepened, and he explored various treatment modalities, including naturopathy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and nutritional therapy.
Today, Lance is passionate about education and consultation, particularly in nutritional and natural care therapies. He offers his services via Zoom for exams and consultations, and occasionally on clinic days. Lance is dedicated to helping patients explore complementary health options and enhancing their strength to navigate the healthcare system.

Pleasure finalizing treatment for Lori at the Hygiene Studio today! Her Invisalign journey with Dr.McMinn and myself came to a close as I removed her Invisalign and completed her restorative work on her front teeth.
