Meet our Chiropodist Zack! 👣

Born and raised in Collingwood, Zack is proud to be practicing right here in the South Georgian Bay community he calls home. He completed his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology at McMaster University—where, as a varsity cross-country runner, a running-related foot injury sparked his interest in podiatric medicine (talk about a full-circle moment 👟).

Zack went on to complete his Chiropody training at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences (UHN), graduating with distinction and earning the Gold Medal of Academic Excellence. Since returning to the region in 2021, he’s been passionate about delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.

Zack believes no two feet—or patients—are the same, and he takes pride in creating individualized treatment plans that are practical, effective, and tailored to your goals.

Walk Wellness Wednesday! We hear this every day…

Things we hear every day in the clinic:
“My back hurts the longer I walk.”

Meet our Chiropodist Jake!

Originally from Beeton, Ontario, Jake grew up spending his summers at his family cottage in Parry Sound, soaking up everything Georgian Bay has to offer. His love for sports and passion for injury care led him to earn a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Kinesiology from Western University, where he also competed as an athlete on the Men’s Varsity Rugby Team.

After graduating in 2018, Jake continued his education at the Michener Institute of Education in Toronto, completing an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Health Sciences (Chiropody) and expanding his expertise in athletic injuries and biomechanics.

Jake is trained in foot and ankle soft-tissue surgical procedures, therapeutic injections, and custom foot orthotics. He’s dedicated to improving his patients’ quality of life by creating individualized, patient-centred treatment plans grounded in evidence-based care.

Meet our Chiropodist Payton! 👋

Payton is a Chiropodist who brings both brains and athletic grit to foot care. She graduated from the Michener Institute with an Advanced Diploma in Chiropody in 2021, after completing an Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Movement Science at the University of Windsor.

A lifelong hockey player, Payton competed through university and even played senior hockey in her hometown of Stratford. Her love for sport, health, and fitness led her to work as a certified personal trainer—giving her a strong foundation in sports rehabilitation, biomechanics, and lower limb injuries.

Before joining Wasaga Family Foot & Orthotic Clinic, Payton practiced full-scope chiropody at The Waterloo Foot Clinic and Think Feet Family Foot Clinic. She’s passionate about creating personalized treatment plans and has experience across a wide range of care, including wound care, pharmaceuticals, orthotics, and soft tissue procedures.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Payton staying active at the gym, enjoying the outdoors with her boyfriend and adorable goldendoodle, Oshie, or spending quality time with family and friends.
