January can ask a lot of us — new starts, expectations, pressure to “reset.” This 60-minute karma class offers something different: permission to soften.

Designed as a reduced-heat, gentle practice, this class weaves together slow, mindful movement, supportive breathwork, and intentional pauses to help calm the nervous system, ease mental overwhelm, and reconnect you to your inner steadiness.

This is a space to land, breathe, and tend to your mental and emotional well-being with compassion.

Our Yoga practice gently reminds us that HUMILITY isn’t about shrinking ourselves - it IS about softening the ego and listening more deeply.

It’s the moment we stop forcing the pose and start honoring the body we are in TODAY.

It is the practice of choosing presence over performance, breath over comparison, curiosity over control.

On the mat, HUMILITY looks like bending the knees, resting when needed, and honouring yourself exactly where you are.

Off the mat, it becomes kindness, patience, and the wisdom to know we are ALWAYS learning.

“I am very excited to be part of your February 2026 - thank you for trusting me to be part of your wellness journey! If we have not met, I am an E-RYT 200, E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher, Barre & Sculpt Trained Instructor and most importantly for our purpose, I am a Precision Nutrition Certified Coach. I believe in whole health and wellness - that all body systems will work optimally as the result of a combination of these three things;
1) Yoga for connecting mind, body and breath - reducing stress and encouraging self-awareness,

2) Movement & Fitness to get the heart rate up, build strength with weights and resistance training and move the body in ways that keep joints mobile and healthy, and

Our Story

Where it all started!

The Yogashala opened in 2013 and Waterdown was the first choice for a location due to its growth and potential. Yogashala’s vision was always to provide a safe, supportive and humble environment for the community, all members, teachers and staff. We wanted to break down the walls of intimidation that may come with beginning a yoga practice and stepping into a studio setting and so the personal experience that you feel as you come into Yogashala has from the beginning been the most important tool in succeeding the vision of creating a judgment free space.

We strive to be a place where you come to feel good and leave feeling even better, that happens because of the personal and hands on guidance you will receive and we achieve this due to the fact that Yogashala is not a large company, we are not a franchise, we are not a conglomerate; we are here to share our passion and our lives with the Waterdown community. We want Yogashala to be a close knit, personal, and comfortable place to come hang out, practice yoga, make new friends, and have a supportive environment that is always available to you. We make huge efforts to learn everybody’s name and build personal relationships and connections with each and every person that enters through our doors…provided you want us to learn your name :)

From the beginning everyone who has been involved in Yogashala has opened their hearts, minds, and their lives to share everything with you, the staff, teachers and energy exchange volunteers are the root of this studio and we hope you will love us and our studio; we know you will!! We are in the business not only of yoga and wellness but supporting other local business in Waterdown; that has been an important part of our vision from the beginning because we want to help maintain the “village” feel of Waterdown by shopping and supporting local!
