Today. I had to cancel my first two shows of the season… I could not do Dunnville last weekend and I just sent the organizers for the Monthill show April 26th that I can not attend due to health reasons.

I have made a fast recovery but sadly my sewing room is downstairs and I promised my family I would avoid them until I had two strong guys to assist me down and up those stairs!
One of the huge problems when you have huge industrial sewing machines and hundreds of yards of fabric downstairs!

So fingers crossed we get the house organized this weekend and that I keep moving forward.

My watch dogs keeping an eye on me …. Yes sadly I have had a mini stroke and my balance is really messed up!
I walk like a drunken sailor always falling over to the right… lol
Typing and texting has been fun because my vision is a bit off and words don’t get typed correctly!
Hopefully with the recovery I have made this week things will be back to normal and I can get back downstairs with Dave’s help.

On a wee Tuesday night trip to hospital.. sadly a mini stroke and I am fine just can’t walk straight and I look like a drunken sailor !!! It’s a funny thing to watch !
But the doctors will figure this out at the stroke clinic :)
I am home on bed rest the place I hate but sadly it’s a safe place I must stay :)

Today we lose our head of logistics…. Just for two weeks…. Yes.. he’s off on his company trip to Costa Rica 🌴🕺🏻

Yes mom and dad spoiled him again on an all expense paid vacation in Costa Rica! Lucky kiddo !

The limo picked him up at 4:30AM and by 9:30AM hopefully he will be strapped in for his flight ✈️

Hopefully he has a well deserved vacation and we can enjoy his vacation through his Instagram posts.

We are back !❣️🚗 back at our favourite Simcoe place. The one the only BARNTIQUE!
Yes the grand old girl is busting at her seams, filled with gorgeous handmade items, culinary delicacies, clothing, everything any person could ever dream of…… watch for the grand opening ❣️

Today is move in day at the Barntique… yes my husband and SONSHINE will be doing it for me.
My darn Celiac disease has once again caused anemia and B12 to bottom out.
So it’s injections for me and lots of TLC for a few days until my system decides to run on gas rather than fumes!
I have had a few falls because of being dizzy and just thought I was getting up to fast ( happens with old people)
So have no fear this is only a temporary setback !
Thank you to my pit crew who honestly owes me big time because I have been so busy looking after them…. I forgot about me ! Too busy with life’s problems and their medical needs …I finally crashed.
Which means I will let them do the setup and I will go do the fluffing another day :)

Move in day at the Barntique….. it’s like winning the lottery… even after all these years I am like a kid too excited to sleep the night before… every years it’s the same explosive excitement and amazement at who and what is in the huge treasure chest of a building . Each year it grows with more beautiful items, different vendors, new layouts and of course seeing our friends the Hewitson’s.

So it’s pack the van and head over and setup our booth ❣️🚗
