For patients currently having issues with back pain, Dr Kirstie has an instructional yoga class specifically for those with back issues! She has generously opened it up for free this week only.
Things got worse today.
I know. I feel it too. There is something very interesting about having a career as a healthcare provider, watching the world go into crisis over a healthcare related issue, and not being able to help.
I got called off work last week, but I am trying to find creative ways to support my community using methods that do not involve physical touch (I think this is the largest conundrum the chiropractic profession has ever faced as we primarily use our hands to heal).
You may be finding that you are dealing with back pain right now - many of you have had this before, for some of you this is new. But it isn’t surprising with the radical change in routine, psychological stress, and postures we are taking on right now slumped over cell phones and computers trying to figure out where we go from here.
I want to help. Before this all started, I was in the process of converting my program Yoga for Back Pain into an online format so people could access it from the comfort of their homes. I had just finished filming an intro class that is going to be available as part of a paid program next week.
