The summer of 2016 is one that I remember well. I still long for the feeling I had in those warm months when I spent most of my days making flower essences, talking about flower essences, and teaching about flower essences.

I made over a dozen new essences that summer — it was a time of pure light and expansiveness.

New flowers bloomed in my yard that had never bloomed before in the 8 years we had been living there, and I could feel that they wanted to work with me — to be made into flower essence blends to support others as well.

It felt like I was showing up in my garden each day for my Divine Assignment.

I still remember a closed peony very clearly telling me to come back in 4 days when it would be blooming, and when I returned… it was.

The essence made from that peony awakened new insights in me and set in motion a cascade of events that have shaped the course of my life since.

That summer, I dedicated myself to following my heart, my intuition, and listening to nature, and it was everything.

That way of working has stayed with me.

When I create plant alchemy blends now, I’m still tuning in in the same way — feeling into what is wanting to emerge and intuitively selecting the plant and gemstone allies that support it.

I work with essences I have made myself, as well as essences from other companies I have come to know and trust over time.

For the Spring Equinox, I am creating a small number of custom Plant Alchemy blends, each one made specifically for you and the energy you are stepping into this season.

My energy has felt low this past week - like my batteries ran down and my system needed to integrate before I could feel the full flow of life again.

Today I turned to my oils to see what wisdom the plants had to offer, and this trio came forward:

✨ Spikenard - for gratitude, surrender, and accepting life as it is.

✨ Douglas Fir - for generational healing, releasing old patterns, and becoming the light-bringer.

✨ Eucalyptus - for clearing the energetic + emotional body to prepare for higher frequencies

With so much moving through the collective right now - fear, doubt, joy, expansion - it makes sense that we each move through our own waves of integration and re-emergence.

Each time I hit a low like this, I’m reminded that these pauses aren’t wrong. They’re invitations to rest, to feel, and to trust that something clearer is coming through.

It’s when we over-intellectualize our emotions that we get stuck. When we let energy move through, we reach the other side with more clarity, more embodiment, and more truth.

I’ve been noticing contrasting energies in the field lately - a pull toward what’s next and the pressures of the new year, alongside a deep desire to slow down, rest, and fully integrate what’s still unfolding.

At times like the turning of the year, there can be a collective buzz and expectation to “start the year with a bang,” even when something quieter and more intentional is still asking for space.

I’m looking forward to our Soul Frequencies: Sound Alchemy for Year-End Clearing gathering in the early afternoon of December 31.

I’ve worked with the Earth and Air Koshi chimes for the past five years, and this year I felt the call to bring in Water and Fire as well. I received those chimes as a gift under the Christmas tree.

Their tones offer another way sound works as vibration - moving through the body and the field, not just being heard.

The days are getting darker, as we move towards the Winter Solstice on December 21. It is in these weeks leading up to the Solstice, when we are blanketed in darkness, that we can reach into the depths of our shadows to find the light within.

It is only when we truly acknowledge those darker places within us—the places that hold pain, sadness, grief, old habits, and stuck emotions—that the freedom waiting beneath them can begin to emerge.

One of my teachers refers to these places as ice cubes—frozen parts of us that keep us rigid and stuck. When we turn toward them with softness and compassion, these frozen places begin to melt. Our breath deepens, and we soften into the safety, strength, and truth that were always there underneath.

This is the energy we are moving through now, if we are willing. The darker, shorter days call us inward—toward reflection and presence. Then, on the Solstice, the light begins to return.

I invite you to contemplate the places within you that are asking to be seen. Allow yourself to turn toward them—to acknowledge the places you don’t like to look—and offer them love and compassion. There is no need to fix anything. Simply be present and witness. As these places soften, the frozen parts melt, and more light naturally finds its way in.

I can feel the shift... the pressure of the last several months has been intense, as if we have been in a fire, compressing us and making us feel the intensity of everything going on in our lives.

Scorpio season (Oct 21-Nov 22) took us into the depths of transformation, and here we are, on the other side of things.

The pressure is dissipating and now it’s like we have a renewed perspective of what really matters for us... if we have been paying attention.

These cycles we go through each year are meant to hone our senses and offer us the friction we need to refine ourselves. Remember that it takes immense pressure to transform carbon into diamonds.

Each year we are given the pressures to help us polish our facets. This means letting go of the patterns, behaviours, and beliefs that are preventing us from seeing the truth of who we are at our core.

Now that we have moved into Sagittarius Season, there is a sense of lightness and freedom available to us.

We have come out of the dark depths of the deep pools of Scorpio and are now holding the bow and arrow of the Centaur (symbol of Sagittarius) and have the power to release that arrow and chart our new course.

If you take a moment to breathe and tune into your body, can you feel this freedom rising in you too?

This week brings some notable astrological transits that will shake things up. Along with a potent Full Moon in Ta**us this week, we also have Mars entering Saggitarius (action-oriented expansion), Venus entering Scorpio (deep emotional transformation in the relational field) and Uranus retrograding back into Ta**us (shaking things up in the realms of love and money).

Overall, the energy is charged and there could be some intense moments coming our way. As always, leaning into the present moment and seeing where the opportunity lies—to let what doesn’t serve burn away, allowing a new level of wholeness to rise from the ashes—will help you stay focused on moving forward.

These transits can stir up a lot within us - emotionally, mentally, and energetically. That’s why I love gathering on Mondays for Awaken & Align, where we can anchor the energy, tune in to guidance, and restore clarity together.
