❓Do you want to start exercising?
👉 Here are a few tips to help you get started:
✅ Start easy. If you haven't been physically active in the recent past, you should ease into your workout routine. Start with 1-2 times a week, for a short amount of time, and at a lower intensity.
✅ Start with activities you enjoy. If you hate cycling, don't start exercising by riding a bike, if you don't like lifting, don't start by hitting the weight room. Instead start with activities that you like doing - maybe that's swimming, or dancing, or walking - only do activities you enjoy at first.
✅ Be realistic. Exercise is part of the long game, and although you might begin to feel some benefits within a couple of weeks, you won't achieve your exercise goals overnight. Exercise in ways that you do for the next 6-12 months.
✅ Exercise for the right reasons. *This one is important.* If you want to be successful, you cannot view exercise as a punishment; exercise must be viewed as a way you show love for yourself. Instead of "I have to workout", reframe your thoughts to be "I get to workout. I get to strengthen my body, I get to refresh my mind, I get to nourish my spirit."
