We saw Temple Grandin speak at an autism conference last year and she spoke about how seeing the world differently is a strength. That different is not "less." When we value different ways of thinking, we open doors to creativity, innovation, and understanding.

This week, we’re celebrating Hiteksha, a compassionate and skilled Senior Therapist who brings dedication, creativity, and heart to her work with children and families. With experience in both ABA therapy and counselling, Hiteksha focuses on helping children develop communication, learning, and independence skills in a safe and encouraging environment. She has a genuine passion for supporting children and celebrating the little breakthroughs that make a big difference each day.

Hiteksha’s thoughtful, individualized approach shines through as she tailors learning to each child’s personality, strengths, and interests, and collaborates closely with families and our interprofessional team to ensure the best support possible.

Outside of work, Hiteksha enjoys painting, exploring the outdoors, experimenting with new recipes, curling up with a good book, binge-watching shows, and sharing laughs and quality time with friends and family.

Our interprofessional collaborative practice makes us stronger and is better for our team, our clients, and the quality of care we provide.

We’re so glad to have Hiteksha as part of our team - thank you for all that you do! 💛

As we recognize Autism Acceptance Month, this is an important reminder that real inclusion begins with perspective.

When we shift how we see the world, we make space for every way of thinking, communicating, and connecting.

Did you know? Early signs of autism can sometimes be observed as young as 6 months old. Recognizing these signs early means opening the door to better understanding your child’s unique way of learning, communicating, and connecting with the world.

Early identification = early support = greater opportunities to help your child thrive. ❤

Lately, it feels like a step backward. We’ve seen autism painted in the media as something to fear, something to "fix," and even something to blame on moms. That’s not okay. That type of narrative is harmful and untrue.

Autism isn’t a tragedy. What’s tragic is the stigma, the stereotypes, and the way families are made to feel like they’re doing something wrong.

This month, we’re standing up for what really matters: acceptance, inclusion, and celebrating neurodiversity. Our kids deserve better than outdated, harmful narratives.
