Clamp Bee to Hive Matching Game 🐝💛

Learning through play can be so much fun! This colourful bee matching activity helps kids strengthen fine motor skills while practicing colour matching, turn-taking, waiting, joint attention, following instructions, social interaction, and staying in proximity. Using the clamp to place each bee into the correct hive keeps children engaged, focused, and excited to learn through hands-on play! 🐝

Happy Mother’s Day from the two moms behind elemenoe ❤

And before anyone asks… no, these are not our children together 😂

Just two business owners, two moms, and two families who mean everything to us. Building elemenoe while raising our own kids has given us an even deeper understanding of the trust families place in us every day.

To all the moms, stepmoms, grandmas, caregivers, and mother figures... we see you. The love, advocacy, patience, and strength you bring to your children matters more than you know.

Hope you’re celebrated today in whatever way feels meaningful to you 🌷

Mother’s Day can look different for every family.
For many of the families we work with, love shows up in ways beyond words, and it’s already there in so many everyday moments.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms we get to work with 💙

It’s Speech & Hearing Month, and we want to name something that surprises a lot of parents: more pressure usually = less communication.

A few super common examples:
❓asking “what’s that?” over and over
💬 telling them “say ___”

If your child shuts down, repeats you, gets silly, or walks away… that’s not “defiance...” it's often pressure!

If you want simple, doable ways to support communication without the power struggle, our Let’s Get Talking courses walk you through exactly what to do (and what to say instead). Link in bio. ❤🔗

May is Speech & Hearing Month, and we’re starting with one of the most important messages for parents: You don’t have to “wait and see” to understand your child’s communication.

When it comes to speech, language, and communication development, it can be hard to know what’s typical, what’s not, and when to reach out for support. This post breaks it down in a simple way, and walks through a few questions you can ask yourself if you’re feeling unsure.

If something doesn’t feel quite right, trust that instinct - you’re not expected to figure it out alone.

We’ll be sharing communication milestones, tips, and guidance all month long to help you feel more confident navigating your child’s development.

Questions or concerns? Our SLP and RBA team is here to help. We offer free 20-minute consults, online parent education video series, and individualized support for families.

April may be over, but our commitment to autism advocacy isn’t tied to a calendar.

At elemenoe, this work continues all year long - in our sessions, in our programs, and in the way we show up for the individuals and families we support.

We’re especially proud of our team this month for coming together to raise over $1,000 for Autism Canada. A meaningful reminder that small actions, when done collectively, can create real impact.

Advocacy doesn’t end in April, and neither do we. 💛
