October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, an opportunity to acknowledge and show support for the thousands of people who are impacted by miscarriage, stillbirth and the death of a child in infancy. It is also a chance to honour their children, and their grief.

The grief experienced after an early-term pregnancy loss is often not recognized or validated, leaving people feeling unsupported and isolated. After experiencing a miscarriage, pregnant people are often expected to simply pick up and move on with their lives.

In a virtual education session on October 17, we will be talk about the grief associated with miscarriage, discuss coping techniques and share additional supports. Participants are welcome to share their experiences at the end of the session, but participation is not necessary.

This education session is offered in partnership with the Kitchener Public Library and registration is required via their website: https://kpl.events.mylibrary.digital/event?id=100730
