we're growing ✨

and we're looking for someone specific.

The kind of person who makes a room feel warmer the moment they walk in. Who genuinely cares about the person on the other end of the phone. Who takes pride in the small things because they know the small things aren't small here.

In a world that often asks people to “be strong” or “hold it together,” we believe there should also be spaces where people can simply be human. A space where tears are not judged, joy is celebrated, worries can be spoken out loud, and hope can begin to grow again.

Healing doesn’t happen through perfection, it happens through connection, compassion, and feeling safe enough to be seen. Every person’s story matters, and every emotion deserves care. 🤍

If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy or reaching out for support, this is your reminder that you don’t have to navigate everything alone. Our therapists are here to provide a compassionate, supportive space for healing, growth, and understanding.

💙 Two new faces are joining Bliss Waterloo! Meet Kiara Allcock and Dominique Spanovic, our newest Therapist Interns from University of Guelph.

Kiara brings a thoughtful, relational presence to her work, with a passion for creating space where people feel genuinely met, especially in the moments that are hard to put into words. Drawing on Narrative Therapy and a strengths-based lens, she loves exploring how the stories we tell about ourselves shape who we are and who we can become. She holds a Master's in Health Psychology and is completing her Master of Psychotherapy at the University of Guelph.

Dominique is calm, grounded, and deeply collaborative. She works alongside clients to notice patterns, reconnect with their core selves, and move toward a life that feels more intentional and aligned. With a background in Psychology from the University of Waterloo and also finishing her Master of Psychotherapy at Guelph, she brings both warmth and a values-driven approach to every session.

Both Kiara and Dominique offer affordable and easily accessible individual, relationship, and virtual therapy, and practice under the clinical supervision of our Bliss Founder, Kelly McDonnell, RSW, RP.

We're so glad they're here. 💙

Healing rarely moves in a straight line… sometimes it circles back with updates 😅

Getting back with an ex, revisiting old habits, or slipping into familiar dynamics doesn’t mean you’ve failed it just means there’s still something to understand.

Therapy is a space to slow things down, look at the pattern without shame, and build more clarity for next time.

We’ll meet you right where you are.

Burnout doesn’t always look like working 24/7.

Sometimes it’s emotional exhaustion.

People pleasing.

Always being the strong one.

Overthinking. Constantly worrying.

That’s still burnout.

You’re not lazy. You’re overwhelmed and that’s valid. 🤍

If this resonates, support is available link in bio ✨

Most people think their relationship problem is the other person.

But if you look closely, it is often the pattern.

The same conflict
The same disconnect
The same push and pull
The same confusion around intimacy or desire

And even when you understand it…
you still find yourself back in it.

That is because patterns are not just mental.

They live in:
your attachment system
your nervous system
and your body’s response to closeness

Which is why you can:
feel connected, then pull away
want closeness, but feel overwhelmed
care about someone, but struggle with desire

RISE is designed to change that.

Not just through insight, but through integration.

So you can:
break the cycle
feel more secure
and experience desire and connection differently

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” who you are, because you were never broken to begin with.

It’s a space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to understand the patterns that shape your thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

Together, you can explore what’s been weighing on you, build tools that actually fit your life, and move forward with more clarity and self compassion.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. You don’t need a perfect reason to start. If something feels off, heavy, or confusing, that is already enough.

Support can look like being heard without judgment, learning how to cope in healthier ways, and realizing you don’t have to carry everything on your own.

You deserve that kind of support 🤍
