What is Forma?

Question: How does Forma work?

Summary: Forma helps to increase collagen production in the skin. It increases the body's collagen and elastin. Forma uses radiofrequency and heat to provide skin contraction in the deeper layers of your skin. The radiofrequency energy stimulates the formation of new collagen and also contracts the layers of your skin giving you a tighter, smoother, more youthful look..

Ok.. But why is collagen production so important?

After the age of 20, a person produces about 1% less collagen in the skin each year. As a result, the skin becomes thinner and more fragile with age.

Collagen is a protein in your bones, tendons, muscles and skin. Collagen is the "glue" that holds the entire body together. The body produces collagen naturally and it is in abundance when young, but unfortunately production starts to decline at about age 25, and continues. This decrease leads to wrinkles and sagging skin.

How is Forma able to build new collagen?
