Our residents have enjoyed making the most out of strawberry season! 🍓 We had a lovely time making strawberry jam with our residents in our Community Kitchen! We used fresh Ontario strawberries to make 14 jars! What’s your favorite way to enjoy strawberries? Let us know in the comments below!

What better time for strawberry sundaes than June! 🍓🍨 We spent the morning preparing our fresh Ontario strawberries to serve up in the afternoon with some cake and ice cream. It was a lovely afternoon of socializing and enjoying each other's company!

We had an amazing Cruise Night Car Show admiring vintage cars, despite the unpredictable weather! Residents enjoyed a delightful dinner menu full of fan favourites courtesy of The SWAT Food Truck! To add to the golden era feel, we sang and danced to the hits from the 50's and 60's brought to us by Paul Cafcae.

We had a lovely time celebrating Father’s Day with the wonderful sounds of Michael Kelly Cavan and a special homemade treat—Bits n’ Bytes made from a cherished resident’s timeless recipe! 🎶🍪

We celebrated our amazing staff at The Village with delicious food from Focheezyfoodtruck! We’re so grateful for the heart, dedication, and care our team brings every single day. You truly make The Village a special place! 💐

May was a big month for us as we launched our new bus! We’ve enjoyed outings to grocery stores, malls, the farmer’s market, Spring drives, Clay and Glass Gallery and Cambridge Mill, and we are continuing to add new outings for the coming months. Our Memory Care residents have the bus booked every Tuesday afternoon for local adventures.

In May we focused on themes of Mother’s Day, Caregiver Week and National Accessibility Month.

Our Mother’s Day High Tea was a wonderful time as we celebrated mothers and mother figures with scones and teas, music and conversation and a photo shoot on Memory Care.

We had a good turnout for Steps for Kids and the weather was kind to us as we got our steps in and supported children's mental health.

We enjoyed several unique performances this month, with a dance performance by Centre Stage Dance Studio and Smile Theatre’s musical production of Remember That Song.

Our Family Expo was well attended by residents and families as local vendors shared their products and services and community resources that support accessibility.

Toward the end of the month, we learned about the Myths of Canadian Peacekeeping from our own community member, Gordon Greavette, as part of our Did You Know?

We're on our way to fun adventures for the summer!

🌳 Another Fantastic Day Out! Our residents had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful trails and plant life at the The Arboretum, University of Guelph! The day was topped off with a delicious lunch at SCADDABUSH Italian Kitchen & Bar —great food and company. We love this time of year and the joy it brings to our community!
