I LOVE my morning coffee but my rule is water first

After 8 hours of sleep we lose 300-700 ml of fluid and if we drink caffeine 1st it dehydrates us further

I used to drink 3 coffees a day. Now I enjoy my morning coffee and that’s all I need. No cravings. No crashes.

If I could go back and talk to my younger self…I wouldn’t tell her to change everything overnight.

I would tell her to start paying attention much sooner.

Because if I knew then what I know now…I would have prioritized my health differently.

I would have managed my stress better.
I would have paid more attention to what I was putting into my body.
I would have questioned what I thought was “normal.”
I would have chosen rest without guilt more often.
I would have moved my body in ways that actually supported me.

There are things I wouldn’t have normalized. Things I wouldn’t have ignored. Things I wouldn’t have just kept pushing through.

Because our bodies hold onto more than we realize.
Our patterns.
Our environment.
Even the stress we carry and the things we don’t process.

And when something shows up…
it can feel sudden.

But often, it’s been building quietly for a long time.

I didn’t see that then.

I do now.

And while I can’t go back I can choose differently moving forward.

You’ve just been trying to do too much at once.

How do you know what’s working and what’s not?

At one point, I realized it wasn’t about doing more.

Instead it was about simplifying and starting in the right place.

Start with what you know you can do consistently.

Because your body responds to what you do consistently - what you give it every day, and what you’re exposed to over time.

When those pieces are in place and you have a solid foundation everything begins to feel different.

Not extreme.
Not overwhelming.

More steady.
More clear.
More supportive.

You just started in the wrong place.

And I get how frustrating that feels.

You’re doing what you’ve been told should work…
but you still don’t feel how you thought you would.

I can relate.

I was doing all the same things.

I learned it wasn’t about doing more.
It was about starting differently.

Because when your body is supported at a foundational level,
everything begins to respond differently.

You feel it.

More energy.
More clarity.
More balance.

And in a way that actually lasts.

If you haven’t experienced that yet,
it’s likely because you were never shown where to begin.
