As you may already know, textile diversion is one of my passions. Earth day is every day in my house and I'm here to help you lead your best eco-friendly life! There are so many ways to reduce your impact on our planet, small to big, it ALL counts. I'm not perfect, I still buy new fabrics but I am conscientious of how much I buy, only what I need or think I will use. I also have a large amount of pieces I have saved from the landfill, via purchasing deadstock, being given free fabrics or just straight up taking someone's trash.

I've been keeping a little secret for almost a year now..... Last year when I was working at Fontaine's Tailor Shoppe we we're approached to make an outfit for a local drag queen who had auditioned and made it onto Canada's Drag Race Season 6. Michael let me take the lead with Eboni for the design and pattern. She came to us with an idea and together her and I came up with this design. I drafted the patterns up, cut it out in fabric and off we went! The dress consists of a shaped corset with a glittery gold overlay and a skirt with a pleated V shaped center front and mermaid tail shape at the hem. We also made matching gloves. I worked on the corset for the most part, the wonderfully talented Anna made the skirt and the gloves were a group effort. All stoning and glitz was done by Eboni. Originally the skirt opening at the front was closed but she must have wanted to show off all her beautiful stone work. I am beyond honored and proud to have been asked to work on this project and I am grateful to Eboni for trusting us with one of her many gorgeous outfits from the show. Hands down, the highlight of my career. 💜
