In Ontario, breast screening is covered by OHIP and is offered at hospitals and community imaging clinics. Requisitions for additional screening (like breast ultrasound for dense breasts) are often rejected by hospitals. To avoid this from happening, ask your health care provider for a paper requisition and book your own appointment at a community clinic that offers screening breast ultrasound.

Ask if they’d like a copy of your most recent mammogram. You can request these at no cost. If your current imaging centre uses PocketHealth, you can easily email the images.

If you're having trouble getting a requisition from your provider, visit our website for conversation tips to help guide your discussion with your doctor. You can also contact us via email or phone for tips.

There is also a private option for screening ultrasound in Ontario. A downtown Toronto clinic offers 3D breast ultrasound (ABUS). No requisition is needed.

Sharing with the clients premission. This lady came for an routine Thermography assessment, she had no signs or symptoms. Your body never lies.

Your skin, your posture, your muscle tone, even the coating on your tongue…these are diagnostic tools.

They’re reflections of your internal biology.

Skin mirrors the liver because your liver is your primary detox organ. When it’s overwhelmed (by sugar, alcohol, processed foods, or environmental toxins) you might see breakouts, dullness, rashes, or premature aging. Beauty creams won’t fix what a clean diet can.

Posture reflects fascia, the connective tissue influenced by inflammation, hydration, and movement. A slouched posture often indicates stress, sedentary habits, or chronic pain.

Fat distribution is hormonal. Belly fat: Think insulin and cortisol. Thigh and hip fat: Think estrogen. Every bite of food either balances your hormones or throws them into chaos.

Jaw structure and airway health are shaped by nutrition from infancy. A diet low in nutrients and high in soft processed foods can narrow the airway, weaken the jaw, and affect sleep, oxygenation, and even facial development.

Understanding the difference between Mammograms and Thermograms -
Mammograms image the structure of the breast and thermography images the physiology. For example, an x-ray of your heart will show how big it is and where it is in your chest, whereas an EKG will show the function of the heart. Thermography “shows” the function of the breasts and how healthy they are.
Mammograms are after the fact; they can only see what is already there. They can identify a mass, if it is large enough, but cannot distinguish the difference between a benign lump and a cancerous tumor. A tumor must be fed by blood vessels and that vascular formation starts many years before the tumor begins to grow. The vascular feed produces heat which can be seen with thermal imaging. This is an indication that either your body is preparing to produce a cancerous tumor or the mass that is present is most likely cancerous.
There is a large margin between healthy breasts and breast cancer and it’s helpful to know where you fall within that spectrum. There are many factors that can contribute to unhealthy breasts such as dense and fibrocystic breasts, calcifications, lymph congestion, inflammation, thyroid dysfunction, hormone imbalances and more.
