We are pleased to share the addition of Acupuncture to the list of services we offer here at Westside Physio!

Acupuncture is a natural healing practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. 🌿 It involves placing very fine needles at specific points on the body to help restore balance, improve energy flow, and support overall wellness. Often used to relieve pain, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and address nervous system dysregulation. Acupuncture is a gentle, holistic approach to feeling your best—inside and out. ✨

Offering morning and evening appointments. Schedule is now open!

And yes, the question you’ve all been asking. If you were getting Anatomical acupuncture or dry needling during your Physio sessions, and your Physio coverage runs out - you can submit your Acupuncture sessions to your extended health benefits! Finally.

Fun fact: the latest Clinical Practice Guideline for Hip Pain and Mobility Deficits shows Grade A evidence for including Dry Needling (GunnIMS) in your Physiotherapy treatment plan. Introducing Nouh (“No-ah”) D.O.M.P., DPT
He is a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner

📣 New Service 📣 OSTEOPATHY

We’re excited to offer this treatment service to our community. Osteopathy consists of manual therapy techniques (joint mobilizations, massage, fascial release, visceral mobilization, craniosacral alignment, to name a few) with the goal of restoring balance and optimal health and function. It addresses muscles, joints, nerves, connective tissue, internal organs and circulation. A strong focus is the assessment and treatment of the body as a whole. 💆🏻‍♀️

Our Osteopathic practitioner Nouh (pronounced “No-ah”) has a wealth of experience practicing for over 10 years in BC and Alberta. He completed his Osteopathic training in Montreal, QC. 👨🏽‍💻👨🏽‍🎓

Osteopathic treatments are typically 1 hour long and are covered by most private health care insurers. Nouh’s schedule is now live and he is accepting new patients starting Dec. 1st

We hope this new treatment type can help address some of the more complex and ongoing mobility issues that our patients face.

We’ve hit a milestone! 🥳 We’re celebrating 5 years of owning Westside Physio.

The clinic has been a longtime staple in the community; Nicole and Cory took ownership back in September of 2020 and have worked hard to uphold the reputation that preceded us! We’re proud of the staff that we’ve put together and the exceptional hard work they do serving their patients.

Extra special shout out to Kristen Lockerby and Naythan Murtha who’ve been along for the ride with us since the beginning!

We celebrated with the staff out on the water with a little surf sesh. 🏄🏻‍♂️ What a magical day it was. ✨
