Hello friends and family,

I would like to let you all know that Acumen Kelowna (a private medical group) is now offering a minor injury clinic. What does this mean you may ask...

If you or someone you know suffers a non-emergent injury and is looking for a timely diagnosis, they can contact the Acumen office (scan the QR code, send an email or call the number listed on the flyer attached). From there they will be scheduled for an evaluation/assessment with me. I can provide requisitions for private imaging options if required, a diagnosis and a treatment/care plan, all supported by our Acumen Health team of orthopaedic surgeons.

This is a private, pay out of pocket option to help you get a diagnosis and plan of care quickly.

Avoid long lines in the ER, lengthy wait times to see orthopaedic specialists or lengthy wait times to get imaging.

What is athletic therapy? What does an athletic therapist do and how can they help you?

The scope of practice of a Certified Athletic Therapist starts with the in-depth knowledge, education, and training in the areas of the human musculoskeletal system, exercise physiology, biomechanics, and basic emergency care. Along with excellent assessment skills and hands on/manual treatment options, athletic therapists are also experts at exercise prescription. This combination will help give you the tools to fully recover from your injury/ailment and return to sport/work/activity of daily living in better condition than you were before the injury/issue happened.

I would like to announce that I have opened a new company, PRO EDGE Therapy Inc.. I will be providing athletic therapy services to professional athletes, amateur athletes, industrial athletes, weekend warriors and anyone else that would like to stop experiencing pain, move better and improve their quality of life. I have 20+ years experience working as an athletic therapist. I have spent the majority of my professional career working in the sport of hockey. I have 16 years experience in pro hockey, 13 of those years were spent with the Vancouver Canucks. I was also most recently the Head of Athletic Therapy for the Okanagan Hockey Group in Penticton, BC. Let me use my experience and expertise to help you achieve your movement goals, whatever they may be!
